Does the governor still have a chance to veto it? I think she said she would shoot down any MMJ bill, but I'd love to be wrong.

Haven't seen any reference to Perdue and mmj since on or around the election. If memory serves me correctly, she said she'd veto any mmj bill that crosses her desk.

It wasnt rejected outright so it now goes to the committee that sets the calendar for the rest of the bill's process. It'll get referred (reefered? lol) to the appropriate subcommittee, probably Health, for further amendment and hearings before it goes on for a floor vote for passage.

Thanks for the link. I even checked out my rep and senator. Doesn't look too good for my district/county, they're good old conservative boys. One of em wants Reagan's 100th birthday celebrated and the other wants concealed pistols in restaurants.

Apparently NORML thinks it'll be more than 5 years. NC isn't one of their latest, projected states to go mmj. If NORML is correct, Mississippi will have mmj before NC.

I am so happy for you guys! I wonder which state will produce outdoor that is on par with California. What happens when all the states have medical marijuana? Will the feds be forced to comply?
NC of course...maybe KY if that ever happens...
