Anyone know the pedigree of Blackberry kush and if it is available in seed form?

Seen some pics of it on a buddy wall and although it doesn't look like a huge yielder it makes my mouth water

imo there are at least 2 versions out there. Also imo this is aka obama kush.

the bad one looks amazing, tastes great and the frost is waaay up there, but you smoke it and the high is....pooooop at best...super weak high..like nothing

now the good one is a bit denser, more rotten fruit imo and has visble gland heads not just glad stalks.

thats just my 2 cents, hope it helps

my buddy has it.. .. yes its available in seed
my buddy has 2 phenos from same company
1 is kushy and light purple color,
1 is extreme blackberry smelling/tasting, same color
I suggest doing a simple google search on things before asking on ic, since maybe the reason you dont see it here is cause gyspy doesnt carry it

Blackberry Kush is a clone only, CA strain consisting of (blackberry x white rhino x bubba kush) you can get it from time to time at dispensaries but its not a very common clone and is not widely distributed, its probably the frostiest strain ive ever seen but the high does not last very long and its not a good yielder by any means, it grows kinda like bubba kush but is visibly more sativa in growth structure finishes in about 10-11 weeks, a good plant but there are better ones out there hope that helped.

Hope she meets my expectations...

lol.. i guess there is a cali clone only to prob everything.. seeing as how clone only is not readily available, there is a seed version that is black domino x raspberry cough that is DANK and has both the blackberry/raspberry taste with kush taste

Yo...daheadies,
Have you grown the BB from Nirvana/Sativa Seeds?
I'm asking, because I have been running the Raspberry Cough from Sativa Seeds, and must say It's some really nice smoke.
Has a sweet tropical/berry, scent with a skunky undertone, Yields above average, and perfect bag appeal.

I grew the ''clone only'' bb kush for 2 cycles a while back I gave it up because the high is supper short and it didn’t yield very good. But was by far the best looking plant I have ever grown, the top leaves will naturally turn purple and if you mess with temps (and it doesn’t take much) in the last 3 weeks you can get it to look almost black. do a Google image search and you can tell which ones are the ca. clone version vs. other peoples take on it.

@ grayskull its very possible and probably was but I’m really not sure on who came up with the strain, and the only reason I said it’s uncommon now is because a lot of growers I knew that were growing it have dropped it for the same reason I stated above. It was the plant to have in socal like 2 years ago but I think it was only because the final product had such an appealing look to it and then every one realized the high was crappy short and allot of people got rid of it. you definitely see allot less of it now then when it was all the rage.

@ daheadies there probably is a ''seed form'' available but its has nothing to do with the clone version, and if his buddy has a pic of it on his wall I can almost guarantee you its of the clone version simply because it looks so crazy and too this day still makes my mouth water every time I gaze at it.

@ jj7leaf if you post image of the pic on you buddies wall I can tell you right away if what your looking at the ca clone or something else because the clone is very distinctive in growth and is easy to spot if you have grown it before.

Peace…

Blackberry Kush

Great looking buds for sure
And the most blackberry jam smelling ive ever grown, too...
To bad the aroma doent translate to the flavor such a bland tasting smoke w an ok high

If it yeided better itd have a bit more "worth" in my opinion. But it is worth a run if you havent run it before... everyone gets high differently

I had some a month or so ago. It looked really frosty and the buds were nice and tight but I had a bunch of it and got tired of it very quickly. Strong meds but a very one-dimensional buzz.

Also I had a branch that broke and put out 2-3 banana's, I have 1 s1 Ill start and cross the fingers with. 1:ying:

haha, those are selfed, "s1". Calling that blackberry kush is like calling an inbred person "normal". Sure they seem fine from a distance... but they are what they are. You posted a pic of herm-blackberry kush

I'm loving this variety to make ice water hash, it comes out so waxy.

I have the BBK clone that is predominant in Willamette Valley area of Oregon. I ran that as a SCROG, in Subcools soil mix (20 gallon tote) under 600 watts and yielded over 8 oz of very purple, very stinky strong bud. One of myfavorites and a keeper in my garden.

Spot on, weak as fuk, but pretty. Frosty bag appeal, but no bang for the buck. It's like the Oregon shishkaberry, many grow it once or twice, then it somehow disappears, lmfao
