600w MH Conversion Bulb Flickers...

it's a galaxy digital... about two years old. I tried plugging it directly into the wall (previously it was connected to a power strip) and there was no difference. I should mention that there's no flicker when using an HPS bulb.

usually it's the ballast; maybe try a different brand mh conversion bulb. which brand are you using? ushio usually works for me but i had to return old lumatek ballasts back in the day that would flicker with mh conversion bulbs but not hps; annoying to say the least

The brand of the conversion bulb is PlantMax.

I'm gonna go back in and make doubly sure the bulb is properly seated in the socket... but if that doesn't fix it it's going back... thanks for your help!

I had the same problem with a PlantMax MH conv. (600 Lumatek Digi)

Mine was brand new at the time, swapped it out for a new bulb...right as rain.

is it fair of me to ask why you'd use a MH conversion bulb in a lumatek
when they're designed to use both HPS & MH bulbs without any issues?

MH conversion bulbs are made for standard HPS ballasts.
