hello friends.
this summer i am planning to do a greenhouse grow but i need to know one important thing.

i plan to grow 400 cuttings out,
i am planing on keeping them 4-5 ft tall each. no more than that.
and i need expert advice on how much weight (LBS) i can get from 400 cuttings of that size.
cuttings would consist of different strains. mostly sativas and a few good indicas.
this would greatly help me figure out my goal.

thanks in advance!!

i plan on either using 10 gallon nursery pots or going straight into the ground.
i plan of course to till the ground and add good soil like foxfarm or roots organic.
and im going to be using the entire botanicare pro bloom line with all of the suplements.

How big is your greenhouse? Your square footage would be a better way to predict how much you can hope to expect.

If you're growing 400 plants 5 feet tall, I hope you have a huuuge greenhouse.

the greenhouse is going to be constructed as big as i need it to be.
i have someone working on 400 cuttings for me.
if i can squeeze a few more i will.
so basically my space is not much of a hassle.
i have a big backyard to work with.

Well a 5 foot plant could yield anywhere from a couple of ounces to a couple of pounds, so the number of plants doesn't really give us sufficient info to predict what the yield will be.

From my experience, I think around 5 pounds for every 100 square feet of canopy is a good, reachable goal for greenhouse growing, assuming you're working with strains you're familiar with and have your greenhouse environment dialed in.

These will have a impact on your yield

Hydro
Soil
Soilless
Grow conditions
Nutrients used and how often
Pest problems
Medium used. 1LB per plant is a good# to shoot for. I take care of my girls I wont get anymore then 4 oz per plant depending on strain This is indoor. Out door 1lb per is a more reasonable# to get.

400 1-pound plants would be a pretty big operation requiring a crew putting in a lot of hours.

I don't think anyone with the experience and knowledge to pull something like that off would have to ask a forum how much weight they are going to yield.

If you insist on having 400 plants, i suggest keeping them smaller and more manageable.

Yes 400 is a large grow even if the plants are kept small. I have a 5x5x10 for flower. All of my girls are kept smaller 4' of less. I should end up with 2lb or less. My main objective is quality. I also prune off the bottom branches I try to keep the canopy even not easy to do im not doing scrog/sog

the height in a greenhouse should make the yields much higher per plant with sativas, should be more like 1lb each plant easy depending on height, nutes, and so many other variables to mention - Good Luck with your project

ive got family members on standby that are more than willing to help with the grow. were all stoners.

i have outdoor experience and about 2 runs indoors.

the indoor grow i did was 200 plants and i managed them with only 1 other partner.

what do you mean how i have my greenhouse environment dialed in?

all i have is some fans for air circulation inside the greenhouse.
i have intake and exhaust for it like a grow room,
im going to use eagle and also some high concentrated neem oil as
pest prevention.
if i have to ill buy more equipment.
what is ideal to have?

last year on my outdoor crop i had two 7foot tall plants
that pulled maybe a pound each.
so i was hoping some experienced greenhouse growers could shoot me a rough estimate on how much a single 4 foot tall plant will produce.

i am using an entire line of nutrients also. and i think i may aim for 10gal pots .

with 400 plants im hoping to pull 400 pounds or darn close to 400 lbs.

would you guys think its doable with my plans?

if you are asking these questions, you are not ready for running a grow that size.

one or two outdoor plants is easy, 400 is a lot harder, especially at 4' each.

I'm assuming you're medical, I still wouldn't be blowing up any one plot with >100 trees.

the variances in yield could be massive, a seasoned grower monocropping is going to pull more than you going on down to the local dispensary and buying all their clones and transplanting them.

Dude, not saying you can't do it, but good luck.

Off of a 4' plant in 10 gallon containers of a nice hybrid, you are looking at about a 1/4 p - 1/2 p per plant. However, you would be ill advised to put them in a green house unless you are trying to do light depo. There are much more economic ways to get more weight.

May I suggest no green house? Also, instead of doing 400 plants in 10 gallon pots try 100 plants in 30 gallon smart pots. Also I wouldnt use PBP on outdoor unless you want to invite pests and disease. Ammend your soil so you dont have to feed it until much later and when you do have to feed it give it guano teas and compost teas. Create a nice environment for your microbes and reap the benefits of small container organic outdoor!

Oh, and don't expect to get 400 pounds. I do have to put this out there, that this is a silly scenario and has n00b all over it. if most people want 400 pounds they would have about 90 plants in 100-200 gallon smart pots. Those plants would also be about 10' monsters and would be grown by competent growers. Your actual weight if you went with the greenhouse and 400 plants would probably be about 50 pounds. Greenhouses invite high humidity, heat, and pests.

well i know how to clone,
roughly 100 cuts will be my own,,
300 from the clubs.

yes were all medical.
ive seen ppl here grow thousands of plants at home, no worries.
im not worried about the law. its legal

still, like i said 400 wont be too much for me to handle i have a team to help.
so anyone can give me a rough estimate?
ill be kind and give you some finished meds=)

Yeah, check out some of my trinity county stuff in my signature. I dont really have any budding pictures except for a winter/spring greenhouse and with all the plants I had I was working about 6 hours a day with occasional help. Once they are outdoors the work almost doubles. In 10 gallon pots you will be water almost twice a day in the summer.
