Ty mrktwiz :)

Have a yellowing on 6 plants on the 3rd shelf none others anywhere else, think it's like a radiant heat prob have the temp gauge in front of the plant in front of the bulb and it reads 76....

This has been driving me mad so have just flushed with base nutrient ph6 and ec1.4 with calmag "that I checked wasn't fucked" and will flush again tomorrow leaving them for a full dose of full nutrient and additives Friday

Any input welcome guys good or bad :tiphat:

Completely bare bulb now!

Completely bare bulb now!

Spent 2 hours tonight taking the shades off so it's total bare bulb the shades were just holding too much heat and projecting it at the top of the plants on the 3rd shelf... All good tho few burns had to do it all while the lights where on and it's fucking tight in there lol...

The biggest plus for bare bulb rooms is havin everything covered in reflective somethin for lumens bouncin round the room ftw IME......

Totally understand why yas had the parabolics mounted from the get go , but if gettin rid of em for 3rd shelf dialage works , then be gone....

Good luck Bro....DHF......:ying:......

Hey bro, killer thread I just finished it all with a smoke or 3 :D. Glad to hear you got your temps sorted, they are perfect now! How is the humidity now? I'll have to sort out my humidity tomorrow I'm running at 35%-45% 2 weeks veg, I'd like to get it up around 60%-70%.

Anyhow I'm tagging along for this one, you've got a very clean pro setup! Nice work!!

lol, you have some balls handling hot lamps... I've learned to turn them off when I'm working in close proximity. The plants can do w/o light for a little while, while I keep my skin intact.

next run freds everything will get covered just this run was a rush as had to build the room from scratch and didnt have the time really....:

yeah i was sorry to see them go but i dont think its going to matter as there is so much light... the overlapping bulbs will not let it down im sure.... felt like i was loosing with the third shelf and they may not ever fully recover who knows just tryin me best for dialage :watchplant:

Hey HGO thanks for stopping in...yeah temps have been a nightmare in this stadium... the bottom plants can be 66 and the third shelf top of the plant infront of the heat sheild could be 80+ i have 21 fans not including extraction blowing shit about lol :shucks: think after the de-shading we should be good as i hung a temp gauge where they was hot and buy the time i had removed the last shade the gauge was reading 75.5 and its never that low so im happy with that.... humidity is running at 58 to 60%.... 35%-45% is low i would def put that as a priority if you got all your other shit dialled that will hold your bitches back sure you will get it sorted.....:good:

woke up this morning and thumbs are quite sore on the tips got burned a little how i ante got no blisters i dont know lol.... melted my combats too Doh!!! the lights had only just came on so i didnt want to turn them off again and plus i can mist in there in the dark but working asin taking them shades off would be nightmare i would wind up falling into the plants ect ahahaa :smoky:

thanks sneak its been a long road lol..... i cant wait to see the end either :clock watch:

21 fan's lol holy shit bro I'm surprised I can't hear that grow room from here. I'd love to stick in a few extra fans but my humidity is already crap. I'm starting to see the plant's react to it, leaves are twisting like fuck it looks like heat stress but my temps are all good.

Yeah I think it was a good idea to get rid of them hoods, they hold a shit load of heat, have a look at the diagrams that good old krusty made in my thread, it's stickied in the vert section. Krusty talked a lot of crap but he also talked a lot of sense, I wish we had him back lol. Ok I'm away to the hydro store, it's a brilliant day outside!

need some advice on the defoliation process in vertical growing.... i normally strip the bottom ft of leaves, stems and anything that doesn't look like its needed.... obviously the bottom stuff is now in light so do i take the Big fans off and strip the back or just the fans what? please any advice appreciated on what your vertical defoliation technique are.....

How about hanging some reflectix along the side of the scrubber. The heat will still go straight up, and the light will be reflected back at the plants.

Clean out the insides and bottoms. You don't want a bunch of little sucker branches on the inside. You want a bunch of long colas. Sometimes I like to lollipop my bushlets. I do a trimming when I put them in veg, again 2 weeks later... Then 2 weeks after that, they're supposed to get a super aggressive fan leaf stripping. Too hard to do in the last setup.

Yo Snoop....Tell Dad this is as fine a sideways "tiered/stepped/stadium" canopy as I`ve seen.....but.....

Since you`re in the midst of stretch , follow Bobble`s advice on gettin rid of everything "inside" on each lateral branch that`s not considered part of a "cola"....and then......get rid of.....

Everything below on the bottoms of the plants on each level "after" end of stretch so light will hit ALL sideways budsite`s un interrupted till end of cycle for a true "wall of weed" perfect sideway`s canopy once established......and last but not least.....

Everything behind on the back sides of each plant needs done away with unless they`re small enough to receive proper lumens all the way through the plants with proper "reflectix" bouncin lumens back at each plant ftw that you don`t have this run......but.....

Killer first run IMO.....NO first run does what`s wanted , but shows where potential is headed with all future runs.........then there`s SOG tables and increased plant numbers that clone factories are needed for...

Tradeoffs......

Holler if I can help....DHF.......:ying:....

Don't know if that scubber being open to the back of the bulbs is helping drag the heat away asap and I don't want to cause another heat prob as I have just managed to get it perfectly dialled and to be honest do you think they need any more light...... lol.... next run everything else is getting covered in diamond Mylar fosho.....

What do you mean super aggressive fan leaf stripping? And when do you do that, I normally do all my stripping at day 14 just a one off....

:ying:

L

laylow

So what you saying freds get rid of all the back and little shit and leaves now while they are in stretch?

I normally leave it till 2 weeks in so they have done most of there stretching as I don't want the stripping down to shock them into not doing there thang stretch wise.... You sayin get in there tonight and strip them bitches back raw?

:coffee:

Everything that won`t benefit from direct sideways lumens after stretch needs shitcanned inside the fronts that get direct sideways lumens....and.....

Everything behind each plant that proper lumens will never get to needsta go so the fronts of the plants can be all they can be come harvey ftw........

You`re on the right track Bro...takes time and runs under yer belt with each setup for dialage on sideways grows IME.....

Edit: "After Stretch" is strain dependent on how long 40% of each flower sequence is on every hybrid till end of cycle.......

IOW....A 10 week strain such as Clone only Chem D stretches 4 weeks for that 40 % determining factor , then backs up and swells for the following 6 weeks till end of cycle.......done right.....

Peace...DHF...:ying:.....

Ok so can leave it till the end of stretch for now... Cool.... :) retie much knew that all the back and little shitty stuff had to go just didn't know how aggressive I had to be... Now I know lol :ying:

I wouldn't say every single one there are a few on the third shelf that got a lill bit of heat stress and still shows a bit but other than that it's all good..... :D happy to share is how I got to where I am now reading other peoples progress and mistakes.... Having freds "DHF" to hand is always a bonus, "ante that right bobbel" as is with everyone else who stops in with there :2cents:
