What's new

Any Tea Drinkers Here?

Heyyy,
There is nothing like hot tea and some herb at the end of the day.
I just broke my brothers 'teaposy' and my Dad needs a new one...
Tea is good almost as great as coffee but how the eff am I supposed to know which one to get.
Any recommendations for a teapot?
:ying:

good enough for me right now is Lipton Chamomile tea, if you want to get serious about your tea you'll select some custom loose leaf blends from a seller like Simpson & Vail Teas and then steep them in hot water via 'steeping balls' or 'infusers'. Over the years while trucking in the NY/CT area I've done many deliveries of tea to Simpson & Vail, they are a serious tea company importing crates of tea from overseas & direct to their doors.

I would recommend either a cast iron, glass, or ceramic teapot.

The cast iron ones are really beautiful with an old time rustic look that will probably last forever, although I have heard sometimes cast iron can be too hot which diminishes the taste and health benefits of the tea slightly. That just means you have to monitor it a bit more. Still highly recommend cast iron.

The glass ones are really quite nice, made out of pyrex and have a simple clean look, regulates heat well and maintains the pure flavor of the tea. I like the glass ones alot.

Ceramic teapots are also an option, good heat regulation, and I hear that the clay adds a unique note to the flavor of the tea and increases the health benefits from the minerals found in the clay.

Those would be my choices. I don't have any specific teapots to recommend but check out this website, maybe you'll find what your looking for there.

thought i'd share what occurs in the Le Bon household where life centres on the perfect cup of tea.
"We're not allowed tea bags," Yasmin says. "Simon wilts tea leaves over steam and mixes his own blend."

so...er buy a teapot at your peril ;)
