So, I live in oregon now, where I can qualify (medically) as a mj user. I asked my parole officer if she would deny my access to medical mj. She said that oregon has no problem with that, but she'd have to get permission from the Idaho parole board....well no big suprise but I just got the word that Idaho says no. So it looks like Ive got a long wait till I can enjoy herb again....

Sorry to hear that, but I'm glad to hear that you want to be as "legal" as the laws allow in the US. Keep your chin up man, waiting for that day might be tough but when it arrives you'll be able to look back at it and hopefully breathe a sigh of relief. :tiphat:

why did you ask her permission to fill a prescription? do you have to notify her of any med changes or something? If its legal where you reside to be prescribed MMJ and you do it only there then how can there be a problem? do you have a restriction on restricted or class 1 drugs? do you piss test? then to who? the state your in or the state your on parole from?

so if you did piss and they saw it there as long as its a prescription would it still be bad? what if it was a pain prescrip for morphine? would that fail you?

If I were to piss positive for any controlled sub., I can be subject to having my parole revoked- and back to prison I'd go.... Im under contract with the parole board to follow all instructions of my parole officer...and I would have to get approval from my p.o. to get any controlled substance, even prescription pain meds...

Alaska, since you are in Oregon you may or may not know that growing without credentials is a no-no pretty bad. Not as bad as Idaho I bet, but still pretty bad.

You can however beat a urine test and there is a lot of weed in Oregon. However, most of the outdoor I seen there is not smokable. Nothing like the Trainwreck you got busted with. Not sure what part of Oregon you are in, but if you venture to NorCal you can get some pretty good smoke for a reasonable price. Go down HWY 101 to Humboldt County and you are in with Flynn.

I am on probation myself, and although I am abstaining, it is just a matter of time before I get what I need to pass a test. The cost of probation is so high that I have had to put off buying a Wizzinator. I know people that have used those for 2 years of probation successfully. Good Luck to you and maybe you can find a way to get around these parole sanctions. After all, it is legal medicine, not legal recreational use.

designer-you are correct about beating a urine test-I used to own a whizzinator and it worked good for the type of testing I had to undergo, however when you are on parole they watch you piss, and I just cant risk four more years in prison....I used to live in mendo co. so finding a reasonable price would be easy enough......I just cant risk it

Good luck bro, a good friend of mine from NorCal just got caught outside of Des Moines, Iowa, with 76lbs of Norcals finest buds, inside the belly of his motor home. He's facing some seroius shit, Iowa is not a medical state.

How long is your probation?

doublejj- I was sentanced to 1+4 years... that means I had to spend at least one year in prison and up to five if they didnt parole me...so Ive got the rest of my prison term over my head untill the end of the five years is up....

wow. crazy. how many plants did u have? cant believe u just went to jail like that.

a lot of times people on the internet have a decreased sense of of time when someone just dissapears. As soon as i re-read this thread and saw that you were gone that long then popped back up my heart sorta sank. It so sad that our penal system is cool with putting growers away for that long and im truely sorry you had to go thru that.

I'm glad you are in a more friendly state and hopefully soon you can start again.

good vibes man

headiez- thanks for your appreciation of the injustice....Its obvious to most of us on this site that we need a change of laws....so our challenge is to be ambasedors for the herb we love... its not enough just to support other growers/smokers, but we really need to convince the people that we interact with in daily life, that the herb isnt evil....and that functional, normal people can enjoy herb....

how long is your parole? hate to say it, but id stop smoking till your off parole then move to cali. any other advice is just stupid.

Or move to cali now and try to get your parole officer switched then ask to get medical again.

You did agree to follow all rules of the parole board, but they can not get in between your health and the better judgement of your physician. As long as they give you clearance to move you don't have to get permission on what medicine you use.

Just know if you get in any trouble you're playing with fire.

so tell me if you were laying in a hospital with a broken leg and they wanted to give you a shot of demeral you'd have to say "no, I need permission from my PO? come on
I dont think so. if its a doc prescribed medicine no legal system is going to question or say no.
