Has anyone got a wormfarm, and is it easy to maintain, also does the worm juice have to be diluted down before adding to your plants ? Thinking of getting one thats all.

Wormfarms are quite easy to look after. A little google searching and you can even find some recipes for food for them, etc. I sit the legs of mine in little cups of water so ants don't get in but thats the only issue I've had. You don't really get that much juice out of them, but if you compare the quality of the castings to a commercial product, there really is no comparison. I find using it as a top dressing or a soil additive it is the shit. Also, my seed raising mix is 50/50 castings/sand. My germ rate is excellent with this. much better than the bought stuff.

$40? - bloody hell, I'd like to have me some of that! I thought $10 a bag was good! Maybe I should look for worm farms instead of garden stores! ps. nice dogs, not that I was trying to peek through the shade cloth looking for plants or anything........

Be careful not to waste money on Soil Conditioner with worm casting but local Pure Worm poop with no added mulch.

High,
i run pure castings x shroom compost,it helps for airation and also get things moveing along on a microboitical level..
amazing vegative grouth, but u should water with a potasimun based feed when in flower.
Kind Regards,FT...

geez your pics are getting better ft ...

we had a mass br3eak out from our worm farms a few years ago, they are in masses all over the garden now ..
i just keep the hay topped up all over and feed them chicken poo ,

in the vege gardens each shovel load is almost a quarter worms , incredible to see ...

worms are the gardens best friend , look after them and they will look after your soil for you ..

Hey Shroomy, just set up a worm farm for your self. Iv'e had mine going now for about 6 months and they are producing heeps and have not looked since. Am starting to get great results since starting to add to my soil mix. Also a great way to minimise waste going into landfill and reducing the "carbon" foot print.
Worms and compost all the way i say

I am who I am coz I is who I is.
This is a great idea, im aloud to get a vege garden started at this rental, and wormfarm would be a good thing to think about.

was thinking bout going 3x2 size and getting a few random veges in there.
