Hey,

Im a legal cali grower east of the bay. In an attempt to keep my hands clean, I wanted to legaly rent out my 10x10 shed out to my boi so he can grow for the both of us using his card. My question is, what kind of trouble can I get in if shit went down? Keep in mind I live on the property, and my boi will be signing a paper stating that all the contents of the shed are his. Is their any other way to go about doing this other than not growing? Thnx

I'm not even 100% clear on what you're trying to do here but I don't think it's a good idea.

"Crack House Statute" (don't know if that's official name...) states that the landlord is liable if they allow drug related activity to go on in one of their units. Somebody correct me on that if I'm wrong.

If you're medical I assume you're worried about the feds. If they had any interest in going after you as well, having a signed affidavit or something stating that all of the "contents" of the shed were your "boi"'s would kind of imply that you already knew what was going to go down there. I've never heard of such wording on a standard lease.

This is a bad idea.

U pretty much hit the nail on the head with the whole crackhouse thing. Im just looking for ways to decrease the likelyhood of jail time. I already have my mmj card and keep my plant count at 4 with the verti trees. I do notice a lot of people get cought up doing lil shit and getting busted bigtime. I guess my best bet is to pay attention to detail so 5 0 dont catch me slippin.

I am a legal WA MMJ patient and have been working with several others to locate a storage unit that we could buy and rent out grow spaces for a co-op. I thought it was a great idea.
Your area should pretty much dictate how you can or could set up.
In my county, the prosecutor is a prick and would probably attempt to shut an op like our idea down, but in King or Spokane counties the prosecutors and LEO aren't going after people with legal med cards and setups.

It's another one of those times when it is way better to go spend a couple hundred on an attorney and ask what you could expect from the LEO and prosecutor in your area. Any local defense attorney should be able to fill you in.

If a bust went down, whether its fed or state, it would be really hard for you to claim you knew nothing about it. And if you did admit to knowing about it, then you are liable if what was going on in the shed was deemed illegal.

Your best bet is to just be in it with him and be as legal as possible.

Back when,,,,, Growing was black market, the first rule is - errr,,, was, -- tell no-one.

With the low-lifes that have invaded the medical market - it's still a good rule.

Your business plan, while it has a couple good points, can not overcome the fact, too many people will know. No only people you tell, but every swinging dick that THEY TELL. Every day of the week.....

How long till somebody thinks - geeee all that weed, I didn't have to raise - in one place..... How convienient! - Now you and I know, 95% isn't ready for harvest,,, BUT. I've seen outdoor grow pulled mid july - nothing was floweing, but somebody thought ot was better than what they had. - I guess,

And your contract - that says you don't know,,, do you really think a judge hassn't seen that before? - Do you really think - even for a heartbeat, - he will believe that contract?
