my fav is the ''Grolux'' bulb's, Since it can be used for grow or flower
Since they have a wider spectrum of blue light than most hps bulbs

The extra blue when flowering does indeed help
Iv used the sunmaster bulbs before, running the same clones
And the Grolux seemed to do alot better on the gpw.

Philips produce the best quality IMO

Many bulb makers changed the element design recently

I was looking at the phillips son t one. Was a little more expensive than the sylvania and sunmaster. I've used both of those, and i can't really say one was visibly better than the other, but if i had to choose, i'd probably go for the sylvania out of the two. Will definately try the phillips one next time. Hopefully in a new light,

The sylvana is very nice for the price!

Otherwise osram plantastar, or the grolux - designed for growing plant

I've been using the sunmaster sodium, seems pretty good in flower but I use CFL's in my veg room so I don't veg with it. To be honest I tend to pick whichever bulbs are on promotion from the hydro store I use (mentioning no names for obvious reasons). I got the 600w sunmaster for 22 notes, and they normally got the grolux's at about the same price.

ive used a 250 CMH retro white that i imported from the states and it was good but the reaction is somewhat strain dependent - some do well and some become more leafy like outdoor buds. quality is good but less yield with some strains. i think cmh would work best in combo with a couple of hps.

it can be hard to get dual spectrum bulbs for 250 but greens do the sunmaster one now - couple of quid more than a standard but worth it i think for tat slightly better spectrum

I have used the philips son-t and osram dule bulbs.... I started using coco when i changed over to the osram bulbs so cant really say... But I have a guy come see me now and then from my grow shop that I use.. He suggested 2 use the philips son-t bulbs in the last 2 weeks of flowering.

The Osrams gave me a bigger yeild but thats prob the coco as well

The dude in my grow shop told me what he uses I cant remeber now but he says they do about 7 diffrent bulbs all with diffrent light spectrums

I read a comparison study by oldtimer think its on IC Mag somewhere. It concluded the Osram Vialox Nav T was the best bulb.

I like the Eye Hortilux 250w HPS and the Son Agro 270w, both make very nice buds although they are kind of expensive. I might have to look into that Phillips bulb. Has anyone ever used the Sunleaves brand? If so how did you like that one?
