For how long does a room smell after trimming?

Hello, I got 2 Lowryders growing and im soon going to harvest them. I plan on harvesting at around 10pm when my dad goes to sleep in a room with the door closed.
I'm then going to close my door and put a towel at the bottom of the door and harvest and trim the 2 small plants quickly and then dry them in my growbox. I'm going to have a window opened in the room over night.
Is my room still going to smell like weed at 6am when my dad wakes up and goes to work?

Smell is going to be an issue. Roll up some of your Bieber posters and stuff them under the door.

If you managed to make it to harvest without him noticing, does this mean you have a carbon filter? Or is your strain just not that stinky?

If you have been opening it to water/check on them and mess with them. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to harvest them overnight as well. Obviously it smells, but so does the whole growing stage.

I would definitely vote this as the best answer, although trimming can be a little bit more stinky.....Never even smoked an AF but always heard the lowryder has no stench.

Incense, Ona Pro Gel ( If your near a hydro store ), candles , and whatever you used to mask the smell of the grow would add extra insurance.

I pulled off a micro grow without the roommate's knowledge but they knew I puffed in my room so smell wasn't an issue.

I think ya got balls kid, you've made it this far so either your pa is naive as hell or is just pretending to be. Usually its second one.

He knows I smoke and is ok with it but I still don't want him to know I'm growing. The lowryders only smell a little if I touch the buds. I have no carbon filter but I use a stench remover pillow with some kind of powder in it next to my exhaust fan. It's working pretty good cause my room doesn't smell at all.
It shouldn't be a problem harvesting as long as the smell doesn't leave my room.
And I'm 18 years old and 19 in a month but still living with my dad.

Yeah let us know how it worked out Like I mentioned before, if you got through the whole grow, you should be able to pull off a harvest as long as you do it exactly as you said, (Start right after your dad goes to bed, put blanket or tower under door crack, and leave window open during the night)

I ued to live with my dad. I'm not 18, but not far from it. Being 21 I have been growing on and off since I was 17, but this was my first full year. I made the mistake of chopping after getting scared my pops was gonna bust in my grow because of my sister. Stupid idea on my part especially with plants with Chemdawg in their lineage. 2 hours no fan= house full of stank. I was allowed to smoke there, but not grow.

If you dont have a carbon filter and your growing in your parents house you have balls. I did it for 2 weeks before my filter finally arrived. Each day was scary, started running out of excuses. Cant say that i keep my jar open everyday and it stinks up the house.

just ask your parents, both of my parents agreed to let me grow after talking to them and them seeing how small a grow can be...also i have fibromyalgia so its a little bit easier...

Toss your Dad a few buds tell him you've found your true calling and you well be bunking in with him cause your turning your room in to a grow room. He might be willing to negotiate down from there.

As someone said before.

Cut em, and hang em. Let it dry with the all the leaves on. This will slow down the process, and create a better end product anyhow.

Otherwise, I would say, put a fan next to the window blowing out, and then trim right next to the fan.

I'm gonna harvest on day 60 on march 26th if they look ready, so it's about a week and a half left. I'll tell you guys how it went when it's done.
How much longer does it take to dry with the leaves on? And does it smell less when trimming it dry?
