How many of you have used a form of spider mite or powdery mildew control that was not meant for human consumption? How many of you have used a concentration of spider mite/powdery mildew control that was higher than what was recommended by the manufacturer?

This is a poll, to see just how bad people are going to get it. Remember, we are in a boom, so it may take a decade or more for the effects of this boom to show in the population. I think some effects are already starting to show, but nothing compared to what we will see five to ten years from now. The growers and farmers who are dealing with these substances take on personal risk, as well as risk to others.

I am 24, and only smoked about a gram a day for seven years of dispensary cannabis. I fear that me and other people who were caught in the boom may be victims of a system that does not work. The non-monitoring of thousands of pounds of marijuana consumed by people all over the United States and abroad will be devastating to say the least. When a lot of us who are now in our early 20's start to get multiple tumors and cancers through out our bodies, due to the extremely high level of SHIT.

If you want to look at a picture, google lymphoma.

PS if the poll doesnt show, reply with your answer, thank you

we used all sorts of stuff in the past,, but wouldn't encourage others to grow down the same path.

These days tobacco, chillies, and garlic seeped in water is lethal enough :D

I am all for using pesticide/fungicide during vegetative growth most of the products we use regularily are ormi but all our
clones get a shot of eagle 20 and a bayer systemic insecticide to control pm and RA in a warehouse setting. In flower we use only ormi products; although we did use treatments of the media with a non systemic (no detectable residue in the plants as determined by GCMS)pesticide in some cases when we had a plaque of RA. The amount of the chemical pesticides in our plants is so low that by the time of harvest 2 months later there is literally none in the finished product. The cancer epidemic of which you speak is more likely being caused by POP's in the environment that have accumulated in much of our water, plants and wildlife. Oh and how bought all the BPA cocktails the bottled water industry has served up, an all that yummy nitrite cured meat... that said there will always be disreputable growers willing to save a crop with no regard for the people that consume it. It is a criminal act and very dangerous to use pesticides like they do.
I work for a medical cannabis organization, we have a licensed applicator mix and spray all our products we carefully determine proper usage, application rate, and timing. The use of pesticides is necessary to grow this plant on a large scale imo and if done wisely causes no real harm.
Don't sweat your gram a day habit, I've been smoking an 8th- 1/4 every day for the better part of 25 years with no ill effects. The Mexican or SA fruits you may eat to stay healthy; those are probably of greater concern.
Cheers,
HM

Organic pesticides are just as bad as inorganic. I started having horrible respiratory problems as well as lymph node problems recently. In 09 I sprayed Floramite on my crop and it has been downhill ever since. I have been exposed to high levels of pesticides, silica, and asbestos in my 26 years. My body is failing me now and I feel incredibly weak. I wont use a pesticide ever again and I will maintain a proper environment to keep bugs and mildew out.

No offense man, but what a fucking stupid poll.
You ask the question "Have you ever sprayed your crop?"
The answer is no, but I guess you've got an agenda not including the answer which would probably get the largest response.
Pfffft.

Dude read the label Floramite is not organic it is an organic compound tho they are very different things...ddt is an organic compound as well. And sorry about your troubles but floramite works well if used correctly and it sounds like you may have been sensitized to it by something in your work. I'd avoid further contact with any pesticides, and cleanse yourself\

If you have used Avid on your plants, check the first box
If you have used Forbid or Floramite at over 1.2ml/g, check box two
If you have Floramite, Forbid, or Eagle20 past week four of flower, check box two.

Where is the box for people smart enough to follow directions?

I guess the OP is just looking for someone to hang. LAME THREAD!

Liquid dish soap (I like blue Dawn) will kill lots of critters. Makes a great wasp, hornet and ant killer. Mix about 1/4 soap with 3/4 water, put in a spray bottle or tank sprayer and watch 'em suffocate.

I spray my leaves with tobacco juice, very weak, with a drop a washing up liquid(dish soap), if you look how they live, they breathe through their bodies.
Tobacco poisons them, the soap helps stick. this is only for mites,as i have just introduced to my box trying to help someone else out(dickead) i know.

I never sprayed in flower, which is for consumption, as i feel if you let infestation get that far, then you aint been reading enough. No offence.

Your poll didn't have the right choices, no probs, your learning,:)
