funny you say that. i used fish mox a couple weeks ago for a tooth infection.
didnt want to pay the doctor for a office visit and a prescription cost when i knew i could order it from amazon for $10.
i found a website that has a list of animal antibiotics that is safe for humans for various aliments, but its on my old computer, it was very informative....
right on! I spose a Google search would locate your source again, I found cheapest prices on eBay but a marketplace like Amazon has all of them in one place, usually from one seller.

I'm not so worried about "Armageddon", but self sustainment is a great way of life. That's why I plan to get my own house and just grow/make everything I need.

Looking into how to make a well or aquifer right now.

Battery-Operated for Use Off the Grid
Because the heater's flame ignites by battery, the Eccotemp is a handy backup water source when electricity is not readily available, making it ideal for use in emergency situations, as well as on camping trips. The heater requires two D-cell batteries (not included). The unit requires a minimum of 20 PSI of water pressure and maximum of 100 PSI.

This Eccotemp Water Heater is rated for outdoor use only.

Endless hot water, in a FLASH! LP - powered Portable Tankless Water Heater. Hot water, instantly and exactly where you need it! Great for camping, cabin use, washing boats and cars, etc. Switch this Heater on and an intense flame instantly heats the water as it passes through. There's no reservoir to deplete like at home, as long as you feed water in, HOT water is coming out! Battery ignition starts flame ONLY when water is running, no overheating! Delivers 1 gallon of hot water per minute; Adjustable water temp from 80 to 150 degrees F; Adapter attaches to any standard garden hose style nozzle; Shower nozzle with on / off control; Includes hose and regulator for attaching to standard LP tank; For outdoor use only; Folding handles; Uses 2 D batteries for ignition (not included); 1 standard LP tank is good for approx. 18 hrs. of continuous use, depending on set temperature.

I have heard that "social security" in the US will collapse then.

I dont know many specifics on it as I'm not part of it and I dont really know anyone that is.

Actually according to recent reports it's only Medicare that will run out that soon and not in 2012 but 2017 and social security is expected to hold on until 2037 but that's 4 years sooner then what was predicted as recently as 2006.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/13/us/politics/13health.html

Still while that threat might not be quite as emminent the rest of your intial post makes good sense. Especially in light of some of the natural disasters we've seen recently in various parts of the world. Earthquakes, floods, tornados, mud slides, wildfires, tsunami's, etc. Some of these things are just good every day things too. Like stocking up on bulk foods at Costco. I've been doing something like that for years. Not to be prepared in an emergency but to stretch my money as far as possible. Being prepared in an emergency is just a side benefit.

You guys need to look into "Extreme couponing" I saw a show on TLC

These people get like 3k in food, supermarket stuff ect for like 50 bucks

The 1 coupon from here and add it to the store coupon, double that ect and alot of the shit would come out free.

since it was free with the all the coupons the guy would get like hundreds of each item and end up with 10 carts of goods.

All kinds of stuff, shampoo, razors, food, soap everything.

These people have to spend alot time researching online for coupons ect. but may be something a marijuana grower would have time to do

Just a bit concerned about you guys in Cali at the moment. After the earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan, the pacific plate seems to be going nuts. The big one that is gonna hit along the San Andreas Fault could be right round the corner. Consider the fact that Japan had been preparing for decades for this quake and is probably the most prepared country in the world for earthquakes and tsunami's. Now look at the devastation in Japan.
I'm not sure where yor nuclear reactors are in California, if there are any, but I'd be getting as far away from them as I could if the big one hits.
If you arent prepared already, I'd be thinking about doing so NOW, coz who kows, this could be it.
I don't know what the U.S would do financially if the big one hits but I'm thinking a depression is more than likely. I might be wrong, I'm in Australia, but isn't california almost bankrupt already?

Go to the link below @ Amazon for "AQUAMOX" which is an antibiotic amoxicillin for ornamental fish, scroll down a bit to see the entire gamut of antibiotics you can buy right now disguised as strictly fish tank antibiotics.

Tetracycline, Penicillin, Cephalexin, Doxycycline, Ciprofloxacin, Ketoconazole and many more are available. This is an affordable no prescription needed way to stock up on antibiotics.

If & when the shit hits the fan you'd want to have a supply of some of these on hand along with a guide for their usages. Shelf life is about 2-3 yrs but that could be extended by diligent storage. My veterinarian charges a lot for medicines and having these on hand has already saved me plenty.......

Thank you, that is good info.!!
