I've been growing in my 250w cab for two years now, had some prior experience. Once i got the hang of the growing thing i found out it's the perfect wattage for me. Enough to keep me provided yet it doesn't generate that much heat, so i can put a dimmer on my exhaust fan and make the cab almost noiseless.

This is a ssh i grew last fall. Pretty airy buds in the lower half but better than i imagined it would be.

hey guys here is my 250W box

hey guys here is my 250W box

hi so here is my stealth cabinet 250W:tiphat:

i didnt try the clones room yet ,i upgraded it now ,my first grow with this closet was from seed, now i want to have quicker harvest,
first harvest was 3 big bud fem sensi seeds girls ,no scrogging or bending just let them grow, dry 120gramms 4.2 ounces, from seed to dry smoke 12 weeks on soil
next grow i am doing to experiment with bending and scroging a bit

also i will change the cooltube to the shortest version 32cm like this i can put it up and down to control even growth, now the cooltube is too long ,they had just 49cm long so i had to buy it

iam worry about fresh air intake ,maybe not enough fresh air supply ,i know for sure that the air pulled tru because i cover intake holes with dust filters and they get dirty ,so it means fresh air comming but if is enough i will find out ,but i think its gonna be ok
i will use 20watt cfl daylight bulb 1100lumens for begin till i get my good 45W grow lamp,i fixed one pc fan 140MM and i can swing it to change the air direction
when the humidity gets over 70% in the winter the carbon filter wont work 100% i can still sense the weed so next time which is winter or my carbon filter stop work i hook up odorsok on the exhaust outlet
i bought reflectiv foil and covered the clones room and flowering chamber ,like this when i spray with water i can clean walls also easy MDF dont last too long lol
i covered the floor with white plastic like this i can wash it easy
the middle space is drying chamber ,i will put 10 hooks with wire and will hang the branches to dry
so any suggestions u welcome here some pics
best regards

Whats up fellow 250's. Here is mine with 1 Master kush, and 1 aurora indica, both feminized. In 2 gal smart pots with coco and fed with canna nutes. This was my first scrog, and you can see how the girls got away from me. Still ended up with 6.2 ounces.4 ounces from the aurora indica itself.

Great thread. Gonna upgrade from CFLs to a 250 as soon as I finish my current grow. I hope a 25"x23" space in my closet will be a good size for a 250.

I can get a whole setup (ballast, bulb, reflector) for $180-200. It's pretty good deal but does anyone know of any better deals?

Marn; I've ordered a coupl'a light from these folks : http://www.e-conolight.com/e-hr4h25qz.html You do need to add a cord and I always tear them apart and make the ballast remote (get the heat out of the grow box). It's a very simple procediure. If ya think you're up to it you get a 250w for about half what ya quoted above.
Also 25x23 =3.99 sq ft, or 62.5 watts/sq ft....perfect !! Should EASILY pull 1/4 lb per grow.
Happy growing............KRLY

thanks for the info, KRLY. Since this is my first time dealing with HID light i'd rather just buy the whole setup even though I have some experience with wiring. My plants are over 3 weeks into veg so i'm looking to get something up and running in under 2 weeks. This means building a frame and putting a cab into a closet so I wanna just buy a air cooled light and be done with it.

I am excited for possibly pulling in qp's or more. First I plan on putting 6 trained plants into #2 smart pots then next grow I plan on doing an organic mod scrog VG style to take full advantage of all that nice yellow HPS light. I got 68 grams from 260w of cfls from 3 plants. Thinkin I could easily double that this time around.

Hey folks, thought I would post a lil pic in here too...here are four f13xSDOG that I currently have in hour 24 out of 36 of darkness before the big flip to 12/12.

I LSTed this shit outta these ladies for over a month. I'm praying for a QP but this is my first grow with this setup and strain. I am feeding them with B.C.'s ten part recipe for success...really has done the trick in veg.

Great work I am seeing in the 250 thread as always. Cheers!

Hey guys. Im about to be joining the 250w club with two Hydrofarm setups. I was looking at the glass for the unit and its only like $12 - Is this just single pane glass from the hardware stores i wouldnt have to get shipped?

Picking up my 250 this Friday. Building my 2x2x5 frame tomorrow. Flipped my current lights to 12/12 tonight. It's all going as planned.

I grew a plant that just wouldn't stop stretching. I had to rearrange the light so it became a vertical grow. And man did it make the lower buds tight! hard, big buds from top to 50-60 cm below.

My cab is a little to small though, some leafes were heatstressed, but not too much. I had some trouble with air circulation, i could not fit a fan blowing upwards. I also should have vegged a bit more to get 5-6 more branches, yield was a bit on the low side. Still, I'm pleased how it worked out!
