Ok so i'm building a top feed system i intend on running serius white russian with 20 plants medium is rockwool 4x4x4 cubes in expanded clay pebbles pots are 6 litres with a 54 gallon reservoir and a 240 gallon per minute submersible pump i have a air pump with no air stone does that matter also i'm going to run 3 400 watt hps in a triangulated patter so all the lights overlap each other and will be concentrated in roughly a 4x4 pattern the pump is 240 gallons i'm using 1/2in black tubing to feed i'm going to use 100 gph emitters one to a plant spread out over 20 plants

i'm wondering if the pressure is going to be alright and if so how many times per day and for how long could you estimate i should feed. thank any help would be apreciated

Soooo, pickin, you spend x amount of $/£ on equipment and decide now is the time to learn how to feed ? this should of been asked a long time ago, in prep.

Well let's do the math , @ 240gpm your pump will put out 14,400 gallons
an hour , divide that by the number of emitter or in your case 20 and you get
720 gph, if your emitters are 100 gph, pressure should not be a problem.

As for feeding 2 or 3 times a day, when the lights are on , seems to be pretty
common, tho some thirsty plants may require more.
your set up sounds like a good one, why waste time on some bag weed seeds
I would rather wreck some good weed, than to wait on some shit weed, even
on a practice run. plus it ain't practice if you do it right !
ask and thou shall receive . peace out , the sprout .

I'd check that pump again 240 gpm sounds like a lot,
you didn't hook into your neighbors swimming pool pump...... DID YOU ? LOL .
and yes air stones do help with aeration.
let me know and we can revisit the numbers .

well i meant gph sorry and thank for the welcome
I wasn't rippin on ya dude, trust me I know what that's like.
with the new numbers you should still be getting 12 gph @
each emitter, most people go 10 to 15 minutes per watering
and @15 minutes that's 4 gallons per plant.
hope this helps you out, what about exhausting those lights ?
you didn't mention room size or cfm's, I might be able to help you with that too, if you want.

60x total cfm's divided by cubic feet of your area, will give you the total # of air changes per hour. 4 changes per hour is a good # to start with, temperature dictates the rest.

My room is 10x11x8 I did calculated out for a room 12x12x12 with a 345 cfm fan and a Diy carbon scrubber is it alright if I overcompensate or shoul I hold My horses

pulling through a carbon filter, will greatly reduce your flow, depending on the style
of fan, this could be as much as 75% with a cheap plastic blade fan.

my area is 4 x8 x8 and I'm running 1000 cfm total, 500 for the scrubber
and another 500 just to cool the lights.

peace out , the sprout.
