The VOLCANO Thread

We got a digi one that's been gathering dust for over a year, could'nt really stand the crinkling of the bag all the time, might get it fired up again after reading so many positive comments but prefer the convenience of a bong.

The crinkling of the STOCK bags can be irritating for sure if you're trying to enjoy a nice quiet toke.

I however was pleasantly surprised when my stock bags ran out and I had to switch to Reynolds Oven Bags which can be found at your grocery store. They are ALOT quieter.

I own a classic and a digital and have bought a 3rd for a friend.
A lot of money spent on volcanos, but I wouldnt change it. I only purchased the digital because I needed to return a junk iolite to the local head shop. They didnt want to return at 1st, but jumped on the return when I asked if I could just pay the difference on the cano.

Digi stays on 375-380
Classic stays around 6.5

Never messed with easy valve on either - just use the classic. Whats the easy valve all about?

- -

You may find another vap for less, but it wont compare to the cano. Others say they have $140 vaps that are just as good as the cano but I disagree. It may be a Hyundai which gets you from point A to B, but it aint no Lexus... The quality and stable pricing of the cano speaks for itself.

Dying to try some BHO on the mesh pad....

Glass on glass bongs rest in the cupboard.. The vap is just too superior in imho.

I can't stress enough how nicely this thing cleans up.

I know all the pieces coming apart is intimidating for some, but putting them back together, clean, is so worth it.

Don't be scared to use the brush that came with it. It rinses off next to brand new in some 91% ISO too!

Best trick I've learned is to put all the pieces in a small Tupperware container w/ 91% ISO and salt. Shake it until its 100% clean again.

The salt acts as an abrasive so you don't have to scrub or scrape anything.

Buddy showed me this trick when we had to return an ash catcher to the head shop because it didn't have a carb hole.

I got a really small inverter which is able to run the cano when I'm camping or otherwise away from an outlet. Pretty slick to be vaping in the middle of the woods.

You dont have to lower the price when you have the best product. Simple supply and demand

You will get your money back sooner or later anyway, vaping gets you high on less.

has anyone vaped the stuff it says it was made for? chamomille, sage, thyme, lavender, etc?

anyone mixed stuff in with the herb from the list of stuff it was made for?

Yes, I blend hash into stuff like that if I don't have marihuana to blend it into. It will seriously kick ass with the chamber filled with hash infused marihuana! That's when you forget to turn off the volcano :)

i was going to sell my glass peice but then I thought twice. what if something breaks on the volcano?

What you might miss is the stoneyness and the couch lock, so keep the bong!

How often do you guys change the bag out of interest?

less than once a month with daily use

Never messed with easy valve on either - just use the classic. Whats the easy valve all about?

it's the "throw-away" option for people too lazy or stupid to clean the solid valve and replace the bag.
i've tried the easy valve in amsterdam, and i have to say i much prefer the solid valve. (besides not liking to generate more garbage than necessary)

A shot of the milk I brew from leftovers plus a bag or two and the couch is no longer separate from my body. We are one.

The bong is gone. No more fears of breakage. I have made full the conversion.

I used to make edibles. So much hassle in comparison.

There is a thread somewhere here at IC.

A friend told me about it first.

You take your weed. You put it in a pot. Cover it double with milk (enough to cover, then cover again). I tend to use 1/2 oz to 1 oz vaped material, maybe some stems in there too. Rarely some green buds. Cover that with a half gallon of milk. You could use a gallon if you don't want it too strong.

bring to boil, the WHOLE time stirring the pot. Once it comes to boil, cover, simmer on low for 1-2 hrs... some people do it over night.

Strain out the greens from the milk, store in sealed container. Don't forget to check when the milk spoils before you start this.

I take 1 or 2 double shots and I'm GOOD.

I have been sharing my past few batches with the guy who turned me on to it. Be careful.

I probably gave away $100 worth of nugs in milk to this guy just for the tip.

Had my volcano for about 3 years now and only turn it off while asleep or at work lol.

It is straight up the best smoking investment I have ever made. No more hacking up black shit from my lungs=priceless.

I keep mine a 5 anything higher is a bit harsh imo. As long as the weed is properly cured you will get 4-5 bags of thick smoke of nothing but pure smooth vapness.

As others have said clean your pieces weekly, change your bags when needed and all will be well.

I'm curious to know if any of you have made any other purchases from Storz&Bickel since your Volcano purchase?

New valves? Bags? Screens? Filters?

So far cleaning has kept me from using any of the backup items.

If I were to order anything I think I would get a second solid valve, another order of 10' bag, and an extra liquid pad.

Does it smell? I can't cook anything that smells because of situations.

I have one... but rarely use it. Just takes too long to warm-up. And it's just not as satisfying as smoking to me. Oh, and it get's me way too fucked up. I can't seem to properly dose myself with it... just get super anxious and paranoid. I'm not sure why I haven't sold it yet. Don't think I've even turned it on yet this year.

Arizer Extreme Q blows the volcano out of the water. It does bags and whip for half the price. And it's digital and has a remote.

Lol, when I finally get home after a long day I'm so physically and mentally exhausted that it's just one more thing I don't want to do before getting my roast on.

haha, the remote is so you don't have to get up. duh. us lazy stoners can't be bothered to get up out of the bean bag chair.

the remote really is necessary, there are only 4 buttons on the EQ, so it is cumbersome to control the fan or navigate with the buttons. the remote gives you all the features, plus you can lean back

Hello all!

Glad to see this thread is doing so well :ying:

Lately I havent turned my classic above 5.... I fill two small bags then stir up the material and maybe two more small bags. I like the flavor and vape that i get a the "5" temp. I also stopped using huge bags because i think by the time u get to the end of it, it's just stale vape. and also if you are filling a huge bag then, the temperature coming out of the volcano and into the bag would be higher when it gets to the end of the bag as opposed to when you first flipped the fan switch on. So in another words, if you flip the fan on to fill the huge bag at "5", then by the time the huge bag is halfway filled, the vape being produced is about equivilant of the "7" temp setting or so.

Sorry if i am difficult to understand..... I blame it on the volc :)
