METAL!!!!

well metal freaks, its your old pal Raven checking in. everyone is posting killer tunes lately! as for me its been back to my roots recently, and ive been loving it. sometimes, when you stop actually listening and just start hearing....you lose some of the appreciation you have for the music.

im talking from personal experience.

so i have a challenge for all you metalheads.

thats right, you read that correctly. im calling you all out.

i challenge each and every one of you to go and see a local metal show and send a report back to us here. now i know that cause of what we do here, security is more important. so lets cover that. you dont have to give the name of the club or the band you went to see, i just want a report on the experience.

this is more about finding one of those "hidden gems" that you might have forgotten about than anything else. so go, go to your local metal bar. have a beer and check out a show. you never know, you may be sitting in front of what may be the next big thing.

On no order:

Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Saxon
Metallica
Krokus
Black Sabbath
Dio
Motorhead

Like some, I've mellowed over the years, but I still enjoy cranking some Bruce Dickinson screams.

I am a fan of old school thrash...not big on the guttural screaming genre...

Metallica's Death Magnetic has been in my CD player in the car for a few days now....I was really turned off after reload/st anger so I didn't give death magnetic much of a chance until recently....I love it and hope they put out more music in that direction in the future...it reminds me of kill 'em all and that's a good thing :good:
