Just cause you got a decent amount of herb with those temps and humidity realy does not change my opinion on the matter. I know u can still get decent numbers with that type of environment but the resin suffers and I know this from experience. Yield is not my main goal quality and potency are and yes maybe you can get a few grows off with 90 plus temps and 70 plus humidity but eventually it will come back to bite you.And my herb is so much more potent and just all around better with temps around 75 -80 and humidity around 50-60 with it around 40 a few weeks from harvest maybe its just my opinion but I know a lot of people who would agree. Why settle for a less than perfect room? So you can grow less than perfect herb.

chiller in dro and a lil co2 would could go to about 95 will need high rh cuz of the super breeze youll need to prevent mold.ive only been in 1 never could have that type of envio.lol peace bro!remember were bros so be nice guys.lol hurts me when we trip out on each other.peace

i agree perfect is better, but saying you cant grow quality product in a less than perfect conditions is just bullshit.. the whiteberry in that room was grown among a group of buddies and with myself having had the best yeild, most hash, and best final sale price, compared to the other growers who had smaller setups, with more control over everything, and the same plants and nutes.... i say its all about the grower and the not about the environment..

with tons of lights, tons of airflow, and tons of water, the right gentics and a good grower.. its hard to not harvest well...

personnally with my method being cheaper to set up, run, and maintain than most peoples, with better results, why should i change a thing.. its called making the best of what you got...

the bulbs in that room were about 4 years old and the ballasts the same.. dirt, cheap ferts, a couple carbon filters and turbines... about a 2500$ investement including the 200 plants, netted 25k. note: im in quebec canada. if i was in the usa my product would easily fetch double..

look again at those photos.. they were taken around week 5. all white pistals... if you dont want to believe that it was quality herb, i could give a rats ass less.. but dont go saying its impossible because you paint a beautiful picture of inexperience.

either way keep on keeping on,
im hoping you hit the 8-10 at least.

check out my albums ive never had a perfectly controlled room and yet somehow...

In response to DirtySouth's comments... I've found that less than ideal conditions don't always result in low quality herb, in fact the stress can produce some very potent buds. BUT it does reduce yields drastically. And while that's a bummer, it's really alright, because what you do get should turn out pretty good. I don't think you'll hit 10 lbs, probably closer to 8. But it's all good, you'll definitely break 10 next round. I only say that based on grows I've had with similar problems and such, but I still hope you hit 10+!!!

they do this with grapes too, some acres of cash crop grapes will get 5-8 tons per acre. but the best wine comes from stressed grapes (less watering) that produces smaller but more flavorful fruit and only get 2 tons per acre. personally, id rather have a half pound of some straight funky flavor than a full pound of some non flavorful commercial crop....

for weed....the main things to control are HUMIDITY and TEMPS......humidity is less forgiving than having bad temps for example. having 90degrees temps with 60 humidity sounds like a bad recipe but i dont doubt that some smokable bud was still harvested.... having anything above 50 is inviting bud rot which i dont even want in the first place... for temps as long as your plants arent sweating above 85 your good..i like my temps around 70-75 and at night aroudn 55-65...but sometimes my night temps drop to 40s and it just makes some nice purple coloring....

And you will get non flavorful commercial crap with high temps and high humidity its not rocket science, read a grow book, any one, look on this site at pics of the best herb and gardens and look what their specs are stop trying to lead this person down the wrong road to inferior herb.

heat stressed buds show telltale signs like airyness and a yellow burn on the leaves...most people can see this from a mile away and most subpar growers cant get away with it where im from. but i dont doubt that in a starving market some heat stressed buds would sell for the same price as goodbud.....

While my crop is less than ideal it's looking OK. Looking at another 1-1/2 to 2 weeks of flower. The purp buds are gonna be the gems. Mites have layed hella eggs in some spots I'm not stressin them. My main concern is a reduced yield in the master due to the phosphorous deficiency so I'm giving them a feeding of 175ppm or half strength overdrive and hopin for the best. I've slowed down on the bud candy because a test smoke revealed that it makes master taste like purp in a crappy artificial way..not recommended. Using small amounts of drip clean tryin to make my plants happy.

Your main concern needs to be your humidity.Your plants are showing deficiencys cause they are not transpiring properly in that humidity. Turn some of your lights off if you have to if your still feeding and you plan on harvesting in a week your herb will not be flushed. High humidity and temps also add a lot of extra time in the maturation phase. Your yields are not reduced cause of your feeding or lack of it is cause your humidity and temps have been through the roof. You can pour all kinds of expensive stuff down those plants throats but none of it is gonna work till you get your temps and humidity to reasonable levels.Looks like your gonna be making a bunch of hash with this crop it will probly be the only way you can smoke it.

Buds are for smoking, trim is for hash.

I've sampled some product and it smoked fine, I'd just like to reduce the budcandy taste cause it's too fake. While my conditions are less than ideal, I don't think it's that big of a deal. My nute probs were from build up/ph, I don't think humidity affects what goes into my soil. I'm givin them overdrive in hopes of small yield and smell increase. It's given in small amounts so I don't think flushing them will be an issue. Growing is making me more patient by the day so I don't mind waiting 10 days after the overdrive.

My main concern about high humidity is bud rot. Fans are running and I'm trying to let the soil dry out more to lower humidity. It floats around 45-50 during the day but the night time sees 60s and 70s. With no bud rot I for see a nice first indoor harvest!

After letting the soil dry out more I've been able to achieve day time humidity of about 42.0% percent. :joint: Thanks to those who criticized me for my high humidity!

The deficiencies seem to be disappearing. Maybe the mg in the bud candy helped with that. I saw a small web.. Hopefully those fuckers won't get too crazy in the next two weeks.

If you see webs they are to the point where they CAN get crazy within no time. Mites have a very short breeding cycle and can destroy crops in under 2 weeks flat.

They like HOT and DRY. They breed quickly in these conditions.

You don't want to invite bud rot, but cooler temps and raised humidity can slow em' down.

Might have to be prepared to chop em early if things start to progress.

Ok I'm gonna keep the temps low and raise the humidity to to 50. I've been removing some of the most infested ones to the garage and pulling off leaves of others. The webs are scarce and very small. Luckily the resin makes it harder for them to move. I really need these two weeks!

Pulled an all nighter flushing with clearex last night. Lights went off just as I closed the door. The leaves haven't lost much color but maybe they will by tuesday when I chop. If the soil isn't all the way dry chop, what problems are presented?

The mites won on a few buds so far covering them in a web, however they have yet to be become a serious widespread problem. Humidity 70 at night 45 at day. Temps dip into 50s at night and stay around 70 to 75 at day. Nice and even the master are taken on some nice color. Dro odor all in my yard. I'll post ics soon, my dog chewed the cable.

Hey Canna nice show, sorry to hear about all the pest problems. Imho it might have quite a bit to do with your roots soil I know when I used it I had horrible gnat problems and a lot of the stores and growers in my area said they have had similar problems. Just my:2cents:

I definitely have some gnats but I used about 6 dunks throughout the grow and they seemed to be effective. I wish I could have afforded the Roots, instead I used Happy Frog with a substantial amount of perlite blended in. I'm wondering if I should flush more or not add anything as to allow the medium as much as it can by Tuesday.

with all this humidity talk i wanted to chime in....

pot growers especially online are obsessed with low humidity. too low. this is understandable b/c of risk of budrot in low airflow situations but the truth is growers should be pushing their humidity to maximize growth and allow for higher temps. read about the vapor pressure deficit, it explains all.

around here so many clones are passed around and all of them have PM, growers cant risk running high RH. if you start with clean genetics and have a dialled environment 70% rh in veg and 60% in bloom tapering down to 50% or 40% in your last few weeks will give you growth you have never seen before. and you can run temps higher. add co2 into the mix and you are golden.

but remember if your strain has PM you will get it (depending on what strain of PM it is)! So that is why this doesnt work with clones you've bought from your guy. start your own seed lines and keep them clean....

for me azamax has been a godsend in organically and safely controlling pests and PM. it wont kill PM but it will supress it. i spray every 4-5 days in early veg, thereafter moving to once a week until bloom. if plants are showing no signs of bugs by then i will drop applications fully to avoid minor stress in early flower but if im still concerned (and if i am i should be reevaluating why i started with these shitty bug clones in the first place) i spray into 2nd week of flower. totally safe and nothing leftover.

i know someone that sprayed 5 weeks into flower and was expecting garbage meds but they came out with some of the best herb this area has seen in years

You're not the first to advocate for higher humidity. Krusty, a rather reputable poster back in the day, also advocated raising the humidity and his results were somewhat comparable to heath's. If it's advocated for use in veg then it seems the only reason not to do it is mold in flower. Spraying a systemic early on or burning Sulfur may lessen this worry. It makes perfect sense, a rain forest is thriving in high humidity and most arid climates seem bare.

Azamax was suggested to me by a very experienced grower, however I didn't have the extra cash so I went the Floramite route. They still came back to bite me in the ass but it could have been much worse.

I've been turning off as many as 3 or 4 lights to induce color and piss off the mites. The plants that were placed in the garage seem to be adult mite free so I placed a few back in the room.

Some of the buds are lookin worthy of macros and appearances in the kiss thread...Looking quite impressive. Love the purple master and the nice has chunky, beautiful, irregular shaped buds that smell like candy. Doesn't seem like it will blow you away but definitely will be a good tasting smoke.

9 lamps barebulb, 10btu of a/c. mid august harvest date. and 14lbs harvest with simple 2 part ferts, monster bloom and molassis.. temps sat over 90 with lights and humidity was never lever than 65... i lost about a half lb to budrot, for a 13.5 pound finish of quality product...

sorry to say but your "failed" crops speak for themselves.. i have been growing for 14 years, and iver yet to grow a crop i couldnt care for well enough to be considered failed...

check out my grows before you call bullshit... do i have to take pics of my thermometers, to prove what my average room temps are???

my horizontal garden sits around 34deg c at the canopy.. and i harvest quality???

whats your problem buddy??

sorry to jack ur thread... just goes to show

Very Nice Bro!

The main reason to have low humidity is the resin likes it the plant will thrive in high humidity but the resin likes it low more so in the last few weeks.I have seen it with my own eyes if you dont think it makes a drastic difference your wrong, its that simple.
