What are your temps?

searched for hours but so hard to find a good amount of this information.

I just built a 150hps cab that is ~6 cubic feet with a 50cfm panasonic exhaust fan and my temps peak around 80 (when inside is 70). I have two 5" intake holes and two 4" holes between the exhaust chamber and flowering chanber (it sits atop a sealed shelf).

What are you running at relative to ambient and how do you achieve it?

I run low 70's to 84. Typically it stays around 78-80 with ambient temps at 72. My tents in a room that exhausts to the dryer duct, and I keep a window open to the outside with a ghetto light trap. This allows fresh air in, and I have a heater w/thermostat set to 72 to maintain minimum ambient temps. My tent (DR80) is vented with a 6" 435 cfm sunleaves fan tuned down a ways with a speedster. Mild adjustments to the speedster can give me a few degrees either way.

I'm running about 69-71 with 2kw in a 4X8 lights on, about 60-62 lights off.
It's a basement, so ambient is 60F.
The key to keeping the temps down with lights on - especially with so much wattage in a small space - is adequate ventilation.
Both hoods are 8" ducted, pushed by a 440 CFM fan with 2 - 12" intakes in the ceiling pulling in the 60F ambient air and ducting the scrubbed air out under the house.

My Temps run roughly anywhere around 70 to 80 deg. This seems to be a happy place for my garden.
I would say try not to exceed 82deg.F and not under 60degF.

Temps are 65-68 ambient and 78 lights on. I use lots of insulation and ventilation.

2 can filters hooked into seperate CAP-1 atmospheric controllers. Also using A/C hoods that are carbon filtered. Basically overkill on the ventilation. My can filters almost never run due to the a/c hoods but they are there for redundancy.

A/C hoods are one of the best changes I have made in my grow.

I got up to 94 degrees this summer with lights on.. It had me frantic.. Luckily the girls didnt actually seem to mind very much.. I didnt notice any difficulties bought on by heat, i guess i was lucky..

good stuff guys, looks like I'm alright after all. Was beginning to think I needed a higher CFM fan.

I'm seeing some sweet setups here though...especially xerhoss and BPJR. that a/c fan hood must pull some serious amps. and chronito, what strain were you running? did you have co2 hooked up?

Hey man,

Nope no CO2 just very hot temps outside which i couldnt control inside.. Even with a monster 800m3/hour centrifugal fan running 24/7 venting the room the temps were dangerously high. This is also keeping in mind i was hitting 94degrees at nighttime around 9pm!! Theres no way unless hell freezed over i could have had lights on during day without aircon the girls would have died almost certainly. Fuck summer growing indoors imo im going outdoors next season cant wait:dance013::dance013::dance013:

Strainwise i had the Nirvanas indoor fem mix so a mix of 5 different strains including master kush and skunk#1 off the top of my head.. Got a couple of excellent mothers from this so very happy..

All the best

Yah i reckon weed flourishes in alot of temp ranges.. Obviously its optimal to have constant temps somewhere in the range of 72 - 76 but at the end of the day she will cope prittay prittay good in a wide range..

Im not sure what my point was here.. 2 cents again lol

I'm tossing in mine. At the moment i have a bit of an issue.

My day time are 74... happy with that my night are 62-64....

I was using a 250 cfm can to cool my cool tube 400w "no scrubber", and i found high temps in the day and in night real nice 70's. I just got my self a 435 cfm fan and its running threw a scrubber, and now the flop. Nice temps lights on 73-74, and low 60's lights off.

They sleep in a old cool basement, 63 ish down there most times.

I cant sat it has slowed growth for me, well because i am defoliating for the first time sooo has had ups and downs due to that.. but whats a guy to do!???

I guess i should get a fan speed controller and drop that speed down a bit.... i told my self i was not going to spend anymoney.... is there a home depo cheap switch i can use??

yes, speed controllers for ceiling fans will work just fine...

I turn my fans off at night, exhaust, and internal fans. When i get up in the morning,it's 92 in my cab, but what i don't understand is that they seem to be loving it, praying to the lights? I don't know if this is doing more harm than good?
When i switch the fans back on, they go back to normal. theyr'e sativas or certainly mostly sats. is this type of heat too damaging? thanks.

i have a 15k (basement 6ft ceilings) my temps in winter with no ac just cold canadian air, max around 90deg. after waterings when the dehumidifers turn on and heatup the room.. normally sit around 82-85f. on a good day its around 78-80. night time temps of 60 because i vent 24/7 for constant neg pressure. sometimes the room will dip as low as 50. my buds do finish a little less compact then with lower steady temps, but ive always harvested over a # per lamp and never scrapped a harvest.. the key is alot of airflow.. if you pull mad cfm throu the room its all good.. IMO.

but ideal is 75-78 daytime and about 65-68 nighttime.. with such a small cab try to perfect everything to harvest to most because everything not ideal reduces final harvest count and quality. good luck, and enjoy your garden.. i remember my litte 2x3 foot cab back in the day....ahhh to be young again..

this is my experience... i have more than enough crop pics to prove it can still be done... not advised but still can be done..

i would assume that a leaf horizontal to the light would indicate optimum because it would maximize chloripil production..

maybe they are praying for lower temps LOL.. my plants also pray and are in great shape... anyone else care to chime in?? praying plants good or not?
