You two dudes are gifted growers. I respect what you have to say. The '11 season should be a blast....I hope you are going to keep documenting your work. I enjoy looking at killer genetics grown in wonderful gardens. I've been impressed and have learned from so many on here....keep it turning it up....questing away...chasing the shadows.

Gots to go grab me out a DD for the "Flush Corral".....I'm about to freak her ass out....climate control is out of her future...she will wake up to her very first sunrise.

pablos DD will reward you for your loving efforts...but she will especially impress you when she's ignored...starve her for sure and keep her quite dry between floodings. the dry medium keep my roots searching and the buds swelling, a flood then swings the PH (i suppose, never checked) and locks out the nutes further.

heres to yellow leaves and purple buds !! so many great growers here on IC. you've got more going on than growing homie...you're also a great writer/photographer for instance !!

A Loving Spoonful.....

A Loving Spoonful.....

I filled my nets....I iced it real good then let the bucket sit out over night in 30 degree temps. This morning...after I gardened and took care of other shit...I put my elbow- length- industrial- black- rubber gloves on....and hand circulated the icy concoction for a few minutes....let it sit for a while....then pulled my nets. Everything I did since November is the cream.

The Corral containments.....somewhere around 55daze flower

I-HOP Highend....getting the shit smacked out of her funky ass

The fresh addition ChemDDIX1....fucking outrageous...squat torque machine...she's coming up that hill like a detroit diesel...split shifting her axil to high grade oblivion....this is a real sicky....I've already found 2 more phenotypes just like her...no weakness in the branches...a steady stacker...I'll be checking out her beans in the 2nd incross..bet on that.

The well cured jar of semi organic outdoor Purple Bastard Haze F2 that I spoke about last night....and have been toking on since.

I've got some real gnarly shit coming up....my flower studio is ripping it up big.

no doubt,im broke as shit,90%+ of what i drink is tap water, the plants get RO water from the water store....i eat beans and rice..a lot...ride a bike, dont own a car and yet i smoke strains that go for 80 bucks an 1/8th....crazy...need to get things a bit more balanced...problem of course is too much money is as much a curse as too little....

hey,did i tell yah i started a little trail running? not sure if i will do much as it played havoc with my knees, but it did feel good to break free of the ground and just go....

Chemical Warfare

Chemical Warfare

At day 55 all the 1st batch ChemDDIX1 are in flush....started them at day 51. One is OD like I showed....one is getting MH/fluorescent part time/HPS the majority of the time...and the third is flushing under moving HPS (kept on the perimeter).

I'm seeing no nanners or having any problems with them.

This subject is the plant getting some MH/Fluorescent spectrums...at least 3hrs each light cycle.
You will note that her branching is solid and unsupported.....I believe this is due to the defoliation method I implement now days. Also note that her lead was not dominant....I've found this to be phenotype dependent...some let their original tops stay as the main flower fixture.

This is the tallest phenotype on the left and 62 day old Blind Willy Haze on the right.

Blind Willy Haze= Wonder Haze X ELEBX1 x ChemDBX2IC1...here is her flower...

ChemDDIX1 flower...

ChemDDIX1 left Blind Willy Haze right

You may see some similarity between these two plants....both are rather foul smelling with an undertone that is grapefruity...the BWH has denser flowers...the DD probably has more resin and is the fouler smelling of the two. Both are solid branching subjects but you can see I had to stake up the DD a bit on one side.

All the plants I'm showing today have been partially pollinated....the DDs are incrossed for the 2nd time (so made IC2,IX2,F3 beans..however you read it) and the BWH was dusted with the same DD pops.

Again....ChemDD is ripping ass weed....lots to work with for outcrossing or following the line. If you are finding yourself snubbing your nose at growing a hyped cross....I would implore upon you to reconsider.... and stop fucking yourself out of some fun. This stuff is upper echelon I promise you. High Grade Cannabis. I grow a lot of stuff....but I'll always make room for some DD. 100% killer cross.

DD with stem strength ?? wait, what ??

flowering her vertically with intense side lighting has helped beef up her girth...but still i wear the sour ball/weak stem moniker proudly !!

yup, those two are at least cousins! may even be a bit of kissin going on there...i will be getting a chance soon as i will be getting a pack of rez's SSSDH,but i was already growing top shelf stuff so i will only be moving sideways so to speak...

I know it Fisted. All the DD I've had previously were flimsy and needed mega support.

I really believe it is because I quasi defoliate my plants almost their entire lives (I like to let seedlings sex before defoliating them...otherwise they slow way way down and sexing takes forever).....I'm finding the same strong branches in Casey Jones outcrosses as well....and many Casey are like Trainwreck....flimsy as hell.

I have two more "squats" ChemDD blasting flowers presently....another just went in a couple days ago....and two more still in veg. But I think the 1st batchers are showing what I'll continue to see. I have no complaints. They all smell about the same...they all are resinous....some of my favorite stuff to grow.

I'd like to go vert....but it won't happen in this room....I've conceded that. I am going to add gas though....my current room will overfill when gas is added. I like my movers...I hate my movers....but moving light is a good idea.

A moving vertical MH and HPS would be ideal...walled fluorescents on the perimeter....easy enough to do if you have the right room.

...I'm a fan of Reservoir. That "well" has been very good to me....so I show some loyalty to the Dog.

Trail running? Nice. Hey man those Vibram 5 finger (toe) slippers...I've already put rips into the big toes after 3wks and only a hundred or so rocky miles on the trails.

I'm taking pix and E-mailing Vibram with some input on how to fix the problem. They still work great...big toes get a little more exposed and grit gets in sometimes...but I'm not returning them. I'm going to offer to be a field tester...lol...who knows...for free slippers I'd put at least 40 miles minimum a wk on their products.

Take it easy on your knees dude. Maybe try a minimalist shoe...forces you to use your natural suspension. When I'm running....I never fully extend my knees...never reach for the ground....let it all come to me...then compress with the terrain...push off without full extension...and take the next obstacle...I concentrate on suspension. I picture myself as a Baja truck (Score truck) eating the terrain.

will have to see about the knees,i have a messed up foot as well, turns out falling off rocks repeatedly leaves a legacy behind,i know i have lobbed off above 25 feet more than once, but its the hundred thousand small falls that get yah...it felt good to flow...easier for me to get to that place on the bike, really thats why i started running in the first place...high on goofy sativa, just fell into my bike riding breathing/cadence and that turned out to be faster than i could walk....

good to give props to folks like rez,he makes a fine bean, looking forward to his joint projects with DG,will prob run the sssdh alongside the ssh(rez) x g13 (DG) when that comes out..

....dude man bro....you always have good stuff lined up.

....I will probably get in a run today but I've wood to split 1st....and this whole week is fucked up schedule wise....updating all this shit now as I may be too busy the next couple weeks. I'm going to have down time off the trails due to schedule as well. I'll rest up the body though so not a bad thing.

I hurt every day unc....somewhere...I always hurt. I sound like broken glass when I walk lol...but it all still works pretty well. I feel less pain when I'm actually running...

Off to the stump, rounds, and maul.....swinging

WINNING!!!!!!!

Nothing but sunshine in my parts for over a week now.

I've went for a run to one of my plots to inspect it and sow green manure.
Was running in my kangaroo leather vibrams, with gardening gear in the backpack. Feeling so good and surprised how far I can go. I wonder if by Sept I'll be able to get to all my spots running... I'm doing a little training every day and having fun with it. I will go running with all my running neighbours. I found it really cool to run in company. Just slow slow, chatting all the time :) When I run alone I tend to push the tempo too much. Seems I can go much farther when running with someone.
Since I'm back from Warsaw the vibrams is all I wear. Can't wear any other shoes. My feet giving me clear signals.

I can't wait for spring. The weather might have gotten me overexcited -> I've put my first round for germination today: lots of F13xA11, Jacalyn, DanishPassion, BHPTbx x AlphaD.
I have my main plot thought out. The strains, the planned selections and crosses... Pages filled with thoughts and diagrams in my notebook. Even modus operandi for harvest time started taking shape in my head today.
Pumpkins sprouting. Tobacco, tomatoes and basil seedlings doing well under the lamp...
C'mon Spring! Plz come asap!

Not looking for enlightenment, just a good life (is there a difference anyway?).

Cheers fellow crazy people :)

thx for inspiration.

...running the hills= the only time I feel truly free...very serious me time...meditation in fluid organic locomotion. The closer to the feel of the ground and it's energy...the better chance at picking up the rhythm of the terrain.

And of course it is about getting both the mind and body in sync with the common goal of flowing motion.

It is a meditation in breathing...bare essence...controlling motor skills.....running the motor tuned toward high performance....dealing with the pain...learning to love it....letting mind and self go.

Clearing drainages....up and down mountains...playing the strategy game with distance and ability.

That's why I do it....

Right on bro!!
I've been inspired by my readings of P's posts too. Lately I run the whole way through the course when I play Disc Golf. I throw from the pad, run to my disc throw again and run to the disc. After I hit the basket I grab my disc and run to the next hole. It took a few times of doing it before I could run the whole way through but I've got it now. Hell, I might be throwing better now!

....it's pissing cold rain again

....it's pissing cold rain again

I changed my mind about leaving the flushing OD girls out over nights. The temps have been getting below 30 again at night so I've been pulling them in and putting them in a spare room at night. Mornings they go back out except for....days like today when the weather is in a foul mood....then they get window time in a warm house.

For whom the bell....does toll?
I harvested the I-HOP Highend this morning. Three or four straight nights of frost took their toll. It's a tolling kind of a day....errr...a rolling kind of day as well. Hitting that sledgehammer Faye Dunaway (ChemDD X Cindy Jones)....so goofy head highs...a bit of drool as well. I'm about 2 bones deep in her already...since wake & bake////

I guess i could have let her go a few more days (this makes it a 9 day flush...1/2 OD 1/2 ID)...but she looks pretty fried...her flowers still tender and I wanted to make sure I didn't damage her...day 56 for a Highend dominant is about right imo...she was ready to do the death dance boogie....I obliged her.

****I'm currently in 2nd round of selecting through the Cleveland Sage children. 1st round is the "attraction" round....the 2nd round is more objective/taking in detail selections. A few more were making the grade. Some are starting to show sex...I must have lost a week somewhere lol....but I noted sex today. It's a healthy...competitive bunch.

It is lies that running is unhealthy and a crime against the body. Doctors and an industry have been telling it that way for a couple/few decades. Much of the technology and marketing of foot ware is what gives running a bad rep. This has been documented....most recently in a #1 best selling book.

Running is something we strive to do as innocent-know-nothing-children....and it is something that many lose after childhood. But we are designed to run. Somewhere we have tricked ourselves into thinking otherwise...but we survived in the wild being able to think and run.

The natural high off running....the pain that is involved in hard running...is the finest of balances...but when you get the flow going you can not deny the natural perception to your environment (anything looks different when you are running it) and to your own body and the way it can function at its most basic form of locomotion.

You for sure will earn your progressions....and as far as I can tell...the progressions are infinite.
