Passive Airflow

Still need all the hardware.... :comfort:
Close to finished:jump:

Wow, nice job microgrower on the box. Are you getting an air cooled reflector for the 150 HPS? Looking forward to pictures of this filled with plants! Good Luck.

Yes I want a Cool Tube setup for the HPS lighting it's ideal for the size of the box. Probably this week or next week this baby will be up and running:wave:

I have been torn between separate exhaust with smaller CFM fans, or using a Y splitter duct and then using a high CFM fan with ducting to both rooms. Any input on this, I am leaning towards the Y splitter connected to the Higher CFM exhaust fan and then ducting from the Y splitter connected to both rooms.

Carbon Scrubber---->Exhaust Fan----->Y Splitter----->Ducting to both rooms.

Seems like a more efficient set up but I would like some input before cutting 4" holes.

the only thing i'd worry about with the Y split exhaust is when you start to get a full flower room, the airflow will be restricted, and will probably go the path of least resistance, pulling the extra air through the veg room, leaving your flower box hot or stuffy.

you could probably compensate for that if you built some sort of valve into both legs of the Y, which would allow you to create equal resistance on the faster flowing side.

Oh Drats, your completely right I should definitely set up a valve system to stop air flow from the vegetative room when the flowering room because more filled. It would probably be more easier if I just set up 2 smaller CFm fans for each room, I don't want always have to move my cab every time I need to restrict airflow. Or maybe I could just rig a duct seal on a hinge and anytime I want to restrict air flow I can put the seal down.....hmmmmm:shucks:

Thanks for the input man, I completely overlooked that tidbit.

The "Y" splitter idea seems overly complicated. And seems it would be a struggle to effectively regulate exhaust pressure.

IMO id use 2 fans, or rig the veg room to vent into the flower room.. and just use fans in the flower room.

ether way..

goodluck to yuh!
