It only takes one pollen cell. DG did very well with Asteroid and kept the seeds to one branch.

Pretty sure all you have to do is brush the white hairs and some pollen will come off the brush and do the job. What you are trying to do is prevent the entire plant / room from getting pollen. You should see in a day or two that the hairs turn color and then the plant starts to swell.

So how do you think rezdogs chemdog ibl is gonna mate up with lvpk?

Was also wondering should I knock up a few branches for a lot of beans or just one and refine what come off the first batch?

Also when making a ibl what exactly goes into doing it?

Well guys a little update action.

The lvpk are blowing the fuck up! I'm gonna go swoop up some sensi bloom and budcandy tomorrow and possibly flip tomorrow or Sunday,I still gotta figure out my new veg area.

Ppm 770 and ph 5.7 ish,so when I flip the first day is gonna flush then refill with base bloom nutes at around 700ppm.

I'm very excited to flip these bitches,I think theyre a bit over grown already but fuck it!

Here's a Chemdog kush I converted my DIY E&F to hold a single 3gallon smart pot of hydroton,she's at about the same ppm and ph as the rdwc i might be able to go higher on the ppm with her.

I want to re-open the 10" net pot discussion. It is my belief that bigger is better when it comes to roots and these two sets of photos are great examples. Both have super healthy roots, but I think the plants with the bigger net pots have MORE roots.

I also think MORE roots equals MORE flowers.

What are your thoughts?

How much veg time ya got on those?

The 10" do make for a more stable plant but when money gets tight there's not much one can do.

I did notice however between the 4" net pot and the 5" square pot with holes at the bottom the net pot plants are a lot bigger and better looking and the 5" square pot holds about 5 scoops with a 4" netpot.

Those are Aerohead's babies. Check out this thread. You'll see he switched net pots and upsized to the 10". I think he had 6 weeks veg, but you'll have to check the thread to be sure.

And I'm gonna grab the ten inchers for next run with this system,it might be modified for next round too.

I think when I'm able to build a room specificly for growing I'll give very a shot,I don't have the ceilings for very right now.

Still tryin to think out my heath inspired tree project,looks like I will be growing rezdogs Chemdog ibl in it so it should be a epic run and thread.

I also gotta grow out a bunch soil and coco gals to make room and free up light for that project.

I agree with you I think the ten inchers are a no brainer. bigger anchor for bigger plants, plus more root mass = more harvest mass...

You guys are makin me jealous with the root porn. I cant even move my netlids without possible plant damage. I know I didnt veg long enough to have luxurious roots like that! Nice job man!

So HS does the lvpk like defoliation? Light or heavy?

I've been plucking bigger leafs here and there but would she take a medium to heavy plucking just before flip?

And thanks for that lucas link,but my roommate couldn't wait and grabed some sensi bloom A&B gallons so i said fuck it sensi it is.

So far my nutes have been and are gonna be:

sensi grow A&B @ 3ml/gal
Calmag+ @ 5ml /gal w/RO
Aquashield @ 10ml/gal
Sensi bloom A&B @ 3ml/gal
Big Bud @ 50-75ppm
Bud Candy @ 2ml/gal
Overdrive @ 75-100ppm

I plan to not go over 800ppm maybe 850,I really don't wanna burn em like BG did so I'm gonna listen up and go light on the addys.
