The Lunatic is on the grass

The lunatic is on the grass.
The lunatic is on the grass.
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.

The lunatic is in the hall.
The lunatics are in my hall.
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more.

And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

The lunatic is in my head.
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me 'til I'm sane.
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There's someone in my head but it's not me.

And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear.
And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

"I can't think of anything to say except...
I think it's marvelous! HaHaHa!"

The greatest album, complete album of our time.

Pink Floyd, Dark side of the moon.

Get high, lay down and listen to the thing like one continuous song.

I had one of the most eye opening lucy trips this last week. what i'd call a life changing dose. i have been listening to syd barrett for years and never truly understood his music..
now it all makes sense, his music is kind of like life, its not going to make sense but if you try life just might be fun, 1 rule though don't spend your few seconds trying to explain the unexplainable intangible...leave it to the wind its not supposed to be explained friends :)

for me that's all I needed im freeeee

I seen a show when this video was produced. David Gilmore and Roger Waters were having a falling out of sorts and Waters was suing Pink Floyd to prevent them from touring with the Pink Floyd name. Such a shame. I seen them in the King Dome in Seattle, reserved seating, about the 10th row. Wonderful concert and I really digged the chicks that were with the band. David held his own very well without Roger. I had always thought that David was a brilliant guitar player, but he does it so matter-of-factly. He don't show a lot of facial expression reaching the notes or do a lot of crazy gyrations like your more known guitarist. David doesn't express a lot of emotion any time. During the show he said nothing more than, "Smashing Seattle, your smashing".

I saw PF do the WALL in LA Calif, it was so cool 20 rows from the front I sat with the friend of my 15 1/2yr old brother who had to ask me to drive him because I had a drivers license. To this day my brother HATES me and my Mom. Her for not letting him drive 2 hours to LA with a permit and me well cause I his older brother. lol
I can close my eyes and Dark Side of The Moon sounds as good today as the first time I got all wasted turned the lights out and lost myself in one of the GREAT records of all time.

Thanks Highdesert, I so know what you are talking about and I do so love the high desert as well. I camped in the high deserts in Oregon last summer and it was a great.

You speak of The Wall. It reminds me of another epic album by Pink Floyd, and I am not one of these people that say everything is epic. The Dark Side of the Moon sold more albums than any record in rock and roll history and The Wall brought on more PF Fans in such a short time it was unbelievable. At first I didn't really like the wall, if you can believe that. I thought they had gone away from their style. Now I love it almost as much at Dark Side of the Moon and don't think they varied at all. I feel that PF don't really mess around and do everything very well.

Was buying tickets for Led Zepplin. Had stood in line for a long time to get them. Just as I was handed my change back, the window right beside me opened up and the girl said , "Tickets now going on sale for Pink Floyd" I slide right on over and bought all I had the cash for. 2 tickets center of the front row. But then there was the time I wanted to see ZZ Top. They had top billing, and I had to put up this new band I had never heard of called Kiss. It was not a nice or pleasing experience for me . My stomach still sort of clenches up whenever I hear the term "glitter rock" .ZZ Top was on fire that night though.
