pull or push air through scrubber

Which creates the most static pressure(this is on the fan-no?). Putting the filter on the inlet side or the outlet side of the fan?(surly this is equal?? as long as air can freely move)
& do i gain less static if i make the duct longer on the output side, if i wanna push?.

Ive pushed through filters for years with few problems. I too wasnt able to Pull because of space issues, so to save my fan/s i lengthened the outlet duct to my scrubber(less back pressure on the fan). was that doing any good?
(CF Fan Btw!) had to add a FSC, i was getting loads of neg pressure/ too much.(Noise was an issue too with the pushing like someone already mentioned)

If i could have i would of pulled through, but it wasnt possible. Once i sealed everything up, no smells escaping out of fan or duct. Good Info in this thread!

I think im sold on Rhino, RC48(+RC114 i think) carbon, is this Australian produced carbon better than any other as they claim? They make a very strong case! & they are value for money, i can pick them up very cheap indeed! Funny Growells crap cost Twice as much, & they aint much cop! Fakin robbers!(aint spent a penny there in years & wont)

hi dao, what i mean is that you have to somehow get the white sleave to coat the inside of the pipe that goes into the centre of the filter. so the air you are pushing through gets filtered before going through the carbon.

going from memory, you have space above your cabs, i would cut a hole in the top and then have a mini box sitting on top that houses your fan and filter, then you can pull though the filter.

the top of my cab has a gable that exactly fits the roofspace that is only about 5' tall max. my fan can filter sits up there and i pull air through the filter.

I use Rhino they are the dogs bollocks the build quality is the best by far to every other C/F iv looked at on the market they even make CAN filters look like trash cans when its sitting next to it and as for the life of the carbon mine is going strong well past 24 months continuous use. I got the filter on the 26 of september 2008 its still scrubbing like new worth every penny

my mate will only use rhino filters bro and another mate will only use mountain somthing.

Phat had to change their name to Rhino, got pulled on copyright by the sounds of things(courtcase etc), mentions something on their website. the same yeah!

I to have a rhino filter it was a little more expensive than some of the budget ones, hoping it will last longer though, saying that never had any problems with the cheaper ones even after a few crops using the same one. Read an article that claimed after various testing pushing air through an air cooled reflector worked best.

yep rhynos are great . the 1 in my flower tent is still working after 2 yrs but ive now moved it to the veg tent and replyed with a new 1 .
the cheap growell buget filters dont even last 4 weeks if u are growing a smelly strain ...... 100% no smell with rhynos. well worth the ££££

stay away from the primair scrubbers they are rubbish, im on the rhino now aswell.

I think one of the best things about the rhino filters is the weight of em, they are way way lighter than the equivelent growell filter or any of the other makes i believe .it makes it alot easier when installing the thing thats for sure.
