i see scrogging as more of a dark art, and the way plant growth hormones work dictate that it's better on the horizontal.

verdant ive heard from experienced growers that when u keep the apical dominance of the mary jane plant level, it does spread out the growth hormone evenly across the canopy meaning that its not jsut about the light hitting the buds which is huge but also a chemical change is happening, u think this is scientific fact?
by putting the tip of a branch level with the rest of it (or lower), you encourage the side shoots to develop - scrog is about manipulating the branches so you get the right balance of apical dominance and sideshoot development - resulting in a nice even canopy.
