Stinky thank you.

Dhf, had problems with the proxy before, like always.

Few things i did change this run was

1) flooded every 2 hrs at lights on.
2) NO floods at lights out, per conversation with DHF in another thread.

co2 was ample, temps where low 80's lights on.

the last runs in my eyes i set the bar higher an higher, an it seemed every one was better then the last. but this last run probably was the best i've ever done. B-safe

DHF, i think it was a combo of everything. Maybe they did like the no feed during lights out. theres always that little bit of water left after the drain, even thou i do shim my buckets so the opposite side of the drain is higher. but i also see more intense growth with the top drip 24/7 system

I did run multiple plants per bucket. The large clones sat by themselves, the medium an smalls where doubled up. I ran 3-4 clones per 2.5 gal in my other system, an 1 or 2 clones always got shut out an stalled due to the others taking over. 2 clones per bucket seemed the best. expecially with cj since she is lanky an scarce growth, 2 plants taking same area rocks with certain strains.

Have 2 more rounds of photos. the lavender, other cj's an sour diesels came out pretty purp an frosty.

2 clones per bucket seems to be where its at for 2.5 gals systems, ibet 3 would be perfect for 5 gals.

Here was one of the 1 gal buckets. as you can see next to the container, its 3/4's full. Also the double stalk, 2 clones per rooter.

it started off reading some cali outdoor threads of these dudes dropping 3-4 clones per monster raised beds. Made sense to me of the benefits. then i thought, cloning is one of my hit or miss areas, so why not double my luck on getting a rooted clone. an bamm it worked.

this photo is 2 cuts per rooter. i even tried 2 rooters spaced apart, but each rooter had 2 cuts, so it was 4 cuts to bucket. especially 1 gal it was too much for 4 cuts, even for the 2.5 gals still to much.

Ended up liking 2 rooters with single cuts placed in a bucket spaced apart. Or single rooter, 2 cuts, an train the stalk so the can grow apart, that worked nice too . trim the inside an lower branches an shit lowers. any sites that where 2-3 inches from the main stalk, an anyt sites lower then 2 ft from the top of the canopy get trimmed. If i have the time ofcourse :)

Top drip 24/7`s just like Heath`s old waterfarm setups , and my old krusty buckets G , and yes there`s no doubt that it`ll give more explosive growth.....but.....

There`s also the very distinct possibility of rootzone pathogens forming and imminent crop failure fast if bottom container temps aren`t kept below 70 degrees......

Ebb and flow buckets are bulletproof with no chance of rootrot as long as there`s not over veg with roots clogging the feed/drainlines.....

The solution left in the bottom containers even though you shim em toward the drains was always my insurance against power outages or pump failures till I could get back to each location.....

Gotta love fillin in the canopy faster with 2 plants per 2 1/2 gal container.....Wayta blaze the trail for increased yields Bro........

Awesome job G.....Glad this run was your best.......Lookin for many more.....

Thanks for the update.....DHF.....:ying:

I hear you on the possibility of rot.

I was thinking as summers not to far away im gonna remove the stadium an just run 12 longer veg'd plants in 2.5 gals, 2 cuts. maybe 5 gals if i have enough laying around. cool tubed 600's.

Contimplated top drip, but i'm with you on the possiblities of rot forming. i seen some dark brown roots, but they were still crisp an snappy when broken. an not mush. with the top drip system last time. but plants showed no signs of slowing down at all.

thanks for the praise.. Bwell an b-safe

gmanwho:

from your previous picture and description were you running two clones in one net pot and getting great yields still?

it looked that way. any tricks or tips there or just put two clones in one container and go for it?

how did you keep the upper foliage from blocking the light where they overlap?

sorry for all the questions, but it seems counter intuitive to me. thanks.

stinky, some large clones went single plant per bucket. medium clones got doubled up. i didnt keep track of final numbers, but i will say my dry racks were fuller then normal, an density was there.

The Cj is a lanky plant therefore theres alot of internodel spacing. alot of area that gets light down to the medium. so 2 clones worked fantastic, filled in alot of the spacing better.

in cases where i should've had further advanced cuts ready to go in, i didnt, i may of only about 50% large enough cuts to fill the system. an the rest of the vegging cuts where say 25-30% smaller then the larger cuts. So i doubled up the smaller cuts. The cuts that i doubled up outperformed the single cuts. there was much thicker canopy cover.

I trim all the inners an lower sites, cut lower branches that will suck energy. in most cases i try to remove sites an leave the fans. Keeping the lower fans on to let the plant feed off of them as they get into mid lat flower. I believe that leaving the lower fans helps fatten them up.

the double cuts outperforemed the single cut buckets.

I try to tie off the cuts so the kinda " Y " apart from each other. trim the inner branches. trim the sites. by day 20 or so i go thru again an trim lowers. anything lower then 20 or so inches gets cut. helps at trim time an no popcorn. just buds.

maybe i can get up a few more stem photos.

sweet. thanks for the detailed info. gives me lots to consider. had never considered doubling for the wiry ones, but makes excellent sense.

the grooming and the "Y" ing makes great sense.

thanks again and GREAT thread.

Hey everyone, its fucking hot. i almost dont want to start the next grow. BUt im gonna attempt anyways.

All 3 systems came down in the attempt to cut down on plant numbers. Gonna run 20-24 2.5 gal buckets with bigger plants. Everythings veggin right now an should have new photots of the the setup in 2 weeks or so.

Some new genetics too.

Keep cool everyone an b-safe...

Hey buddle, damn, sorry its been so long since i checked this thread. Had no idea you left a post here..

i'd love to help you in anyway with you next spot. This systems pretty easy. leaves me more time for my other life.

The systems work great, But like i said to you before, i'd buy the ebb & gro controllers, run 3 or 3.5 gal buckets, an 3/4 hose instead of 1/2 inch.

New photos soon enough, were 45ish days in.

B-safe everyone..

Happy New year .... may this year be better then lasts..

Off to the roomzz. I took down the table with upper rows, in the end of the room arround the 1000. An then extended the Ebb & gro with additional DIY buckets. Dropped plant numbers some, an going for increased size plants. In all 22 buckets in this room. Some buckets 1 clone, but most buckets have 2 clones. 1 ebb & gro controll bucket runs the left side, an another controls the right. This way both controllers are not on the fill cycle at the same time, better rez control.

2 bare 600's an 1 1000 cool tubed, still under 4ft parabolics. Co2 still when the temps drop, or when i cycle the furnace. But they are always still getting the pilot light exhaust, off the Natural gas furnace and nat gas water heater, simultaneously. Co2 levels in the room stay 1050- 1100 pretty consistent. Which is perfect i feel at this point......

The changes: Ran 600 MH bulbs for the 600's till like day 20. Added trelis netting day 20. (Still pruning twice, day one flower an day 20)

Still running 15 min floods every 2 hrs lights on, no flood during dark period

Day 30 they seemed way ahead. i triple checked my dates as couldnt believe there size an density at day 30. I felt i was atleast a week ahead. but by start date was right.

Also , in light of seeing in the past how certain plants or half broken branches seem to respond by increasing rez prodcution under stress, i pulled a drought at day 56 ( i think). took 3 days to see wilt. then i plugged back in the controllers an continued the flush to 65.

this blueberry is a yeilder!! next round i need to not let her get so close to the bulbs late flower. I feel they like the 600's better. (1000 to hot???) The buds were denser under the 600's.The mh to day 20 could have had helped?? running the mh bulbs to day 20 this round too.

Day 65, 12 day flush, 3 day drought after like 2nd or 3rd day of flush. also changing rez every 5 days instead of 7 days, 5.8-6.0 ph. ( last couple rounds i would see growth bursts after a 7 day rez change, this meant to me the food was depleted earlier, so i went to 5 day changes, growth seemed more consistent an pistol development rocked untill late flower. Minimal dying off an or reddening of pistols)

very happy with results. not to many photos as camera battery died an trimming was priority.

And a plant im very happy with as well, the MP X NYCD. Nice high for me, GREAT yeilder, great rez production. easy to clone, relatively fast vegger. strong plant an holds her weight well. Some nice purpling

thanks Blaze. ran a test plant of th mp x nycd a few months back, an she is my favorite smoke lately. Uppity an energetic with only 1-2 hits, but can knock me down with above 3 hits. I like the energetic smoke more then the smoke that makes me a mumbling fool..

Rasputin, she was an unknown to me an i ran her blind pretty much. saw photos, chance to smoke some. I Lost some mothers prior, an she was healthy at the time, i got a bunch of cuts an a healthy harvest happened. yaaaaa

One thing she was tight untill mid late flower, then she started foxtailing all over a week or 2 before the flush, then the flush she amplified foxtailing. Im thinking it may have been to hot for her under the parabolics. As they grew a few more inches last few weeks of flower an raised into the hood more then intended. I feel i already knew i should've raised the hoods when i first questioned it. Next time dumbass, next time.

Wonderful sweet blueberry jam aroma unsmoked. nice earth taste. That heavy church incense smell in the air. Will be keeping her around for some time..

Happy new years alll...
