I can see how it could have some interesting subtleties then, and not necessarily just a knock-out stone. F7? THAT stable? Shirley you jest...

NOpe not a knock out stone...but a very unique one.I cant find a ceiling with it.Yup f7,very very stable.GG#3 is forsure the best semi auto/early gear I have grown.Fairly bullet proof and as stated before, VERY stable.Im not good at describing stones but...Its very powerful gear of the highest order!
I put 5 seedlings in a 30 gal bin and cull down to the best 2 females.By the end of aug or within the first couple of days in sept...bang-o! 5-7 zips of superb bud.

I am not Shirley, but I have been called worse!

46L.
There isnt much of a difference in the pheno's from what I have experienced. One is slightly earlier but only by a week at most.I found the yields to be the same and as far as mold resistance goes,I lost 3 grams over 25 plants.I only ran GG from seed but i think with some searching you may find a couple that will stay in veg at 18-20 hrs but I am not positive on that.

I just noticed...my above post should read "20 gal bins"...If i have 30 gal bins I wouldnt hesitate to run 4 or 5 females in it.

I'll definitely have to snag a few packs and try this out. Wonder what a cross to Casey Jones would be like? Hmmm...

Brad would be a better one to advise you on veging and cloning but...IMHO You will find some that will stay in veg at 20hrs and the others will full auto.Maybe even find one that stays in veg at 18.That would be the one to clone...but.....at 18 they may go straight to flower once put outside.IMHO, besides numbers, i find no reason to veg these inside...they are designed to reach their potential within the natural veg cycle outside.meaning i dont think you will get any better yield pre-veggin these.Plus these girls dont like the indoors at all.

here's what I do.I pop them early may, outside all day in full sun in 16oz cups.come may 24th-june 1st I put them in their guerrilla bins(5 or 6 per 20 gals).by july 5th or so.( i think,I will check my notes) all are sexed and males are culled.Aug 25-sept 5..dank-ness hangin'

..it is like a sweet and sour spicy smell with maybe a bit of skunkyness

that is exaclty how i would describe most phenos , sweet , souer , spicy

s the general consensus that these cant be pre-vegged indoors? say under 16 and 8 for a month or so?
i always germed them beginning of april under 17 hours of light , 20 april, they go outdoors

haven't had one that started flowering cause of that yet , what they will do , is show their sex real fast , i am at 52 lat

I'll definitely have to snag a few packs and try this out.

you won't regret it , it's a real special strain , perfect to grow for weed or to use to make crosses

In my experience all the GG lines grow very poorly inside... this is a superior outdoor photo sensitive strain, breed and grown for the outside lats of 44-55N, this is where it has been acclimatized to, run it inside and your asking for a disappointing grow. Dont expect huge yields, expect excellent buds and a plant that wont let you down even in the worst cloudy shit weather. Great for UK and northern EU. Canadian breed for your pleasure...

Chroniccanuck...the problem with femming is the clone factor... this strain has a hard time staying as a clone in veg... therefore if you CS just any female from seed your rolling the dice... anyone who reverses any strain without stress testing and getting to know there strain first is a fool, and an amateur.

I agree that one would be rolling the dice without stress testing and pheno selection but, with the GG#3 at f7 the chance of poor pheno selection is greatly reduced..no?Since it is such a stable line now wouldn't you say perhaps 90% of the females would make a excellent choice for CS?..not to bad of a risk.
Thoughts?:tiphat:

admitted patches early bramble is damn similar and from the same era and area, no doubt vc and patches knew each other and swapped genetics

no Krk, i just think its kinda like when you whisper somethng in someones ear, and by the time it goes around that whisper has changed abit. Why should anyone care anyways, its dank ass early outdoor. Thats whats important.

Never heard of 'early bramble' - I thought you were sarcastically dissing GG3 by implying its high was similar to smoking a thorn bush!

The only way to know if it will work for me, is to give it a go. Will there be any Manitoba Medicine on the Bay this spring, BB?

I think its whatever brad says it is...GG#3 F7 From what I know he worked it, gave it to greens, greens worked it and has retired and now brad has it back... Now everyone can enjoy an outdoor TBL, that makes outstanding crosses...:dance013:
