OG Kush day 56

Here is an OG x Bubba...the leaves reminded me of yours. Slow vegger like Bubba but then doubles in stretch. I haven't grown the Katsu, but the pre98 barely stretched like maybe an inch or two on a two foot plant...I can't imagine the Katsu would double in stretch?? So I think we're gettin to the bottom of it. In my humble opinion having some Bubba in there only makes this cut better.

So here are the facts so far, lol.

Like Lion's description it does branch and bud like a OG

I think you guys nailed it with having a bubba x og...
heres a couple pics from a few runs ago...

and I agree with being more stoked to have a bubba/og cross than anything being called og in the bc scene.... I think the scene here has gone down alot over few years, like 10 or so... I live my whole life in van area... i love traveling and try new weed, usually at higher cost (2-3x) than here but almost always WAAAYY better. key word is almost. every once in a while im reminded of how good the scene is here and how we are spoiled.

Anyways not to get off topic, thanks for helping me figure out my lady friend here.... hope the new pics shead some light on the sitch.

any real bubba ive got doesnt have the most serrated leaves, almost smooth. big stretch too in veg and flower. very skinny branches but fat squat dense tops.

the maple ridge bubba dries to a golden orange hue, with signature claw type calyx clusters. the other bubba is actually med mans sour diesel. way more fuely, actually thats all its is in fuel. if you look at the og 18 pics on the net, thats exactly how mm sd looks, no purp at all on the finish. rounder tops and no claws, and very powertful, d

sorry to flood the thread, to be honest it kinda looks like a gc cut that went around, which many beleived was a real bubba, where is the smell at? is it dominantly fuely, skunky, lemon lime, sweet or grapey aside from the rest of the sweet kushy goodness? keep in mind alot of folks confuse the real ancient trainwreck cut for og kush, d

Hey dmt,
dont want to take this thread on such a tanget...
but theres no way one could confuse a gc cut with bubba....
totally different growth patterns/leaf serrations/node spacing. Not to mention that the final flowers smell/burn/taste completely different.
I also see people in BC, QB, ON, passing everything and anything off as whatever the flavor of the month is... but i have absolutely no idea of the "bubba thats actually med mans sour d". if its sour d, why would anyone call it bubba, sour d is excellent, why bother...?
no offence bro, but lets stick to trying to help CG determine what he has, and not dumping more strains that "it kinda looks like"

2xstretch right between bubba and og, and the leaves/bud structure are very reminiscent of both lineages.
I'll look it up, but i think rushmans bubxog was using the katsu cut, and i swear i see katsu in your pictures.

Closet Grower, pics 1 and 2 look similar to OG in growth pattern. You've got the alternating nodes and the stretch. Pics 3 and 4 look different, the shape of the caylx's and the fox tailing is what throws it off.

Could you tell us a little more about the smelland taste? Also how long do the cuts take to root? I see with my OG and others complain their OGs take forever to root. I also made crosses with OG that also take forever to root.

It def looks like it has OG in it tho.

Lookin at those pics, I wouldn't be shocked if it's socal Master Kush x OG. It's gotta be either Master or Bubba x OG, equally bomb ass shit...but Canadian Kush is right about the leaves lookin Katsu as well.

like i said i would narrow it down by the smell and the bottom of the taste. alot of people dont like the sour d name, and confuse it with a beaster cut of nyc diesel or 007 diesel. the market in bc is dominated by old timers that dont really know much about weed other then it makes them money. so the names are just labeled to cuts as sales techniques. mm sd is a top notch afghani kush, striaght fuel. ive seen almost every kind of kush being sold as bubba do to demand and sales pitches. il be back with some bubba pics we got from very reputable sources, d

Thanks DMT, I respect your opinion and was hoping you would chime in. However, with all due respect I do not feel it is a fully miss-labeled cut or something being passed off from a geezer...

Basically what I mean is I have confidence there is some og in the cut, because of my trust and knowledge of the grower who gave it to me, I grew up in the lower mainland, lower fraser valley, to be more specific and grew up with these boys. They seriously know their shit, have and had tons of strains, and do not pump out the usual same old product. That being said they could have been told some story by someone else, blah blah and story goes on.... really it comes down to that I dont have much else to do with my life than talk shop about weed so here we are. Im not running around hyping this shit or nothing

I agree with you that shit gets called whatever peeps want at any given time, fack I have had like 3-4 different batches of cuttings of green crack from and around MR to Abby area and they all been different... finally I got one I settled on... still think its something else...

Here's some more facts about this cutting

clones take forever to root, almost look dead then pop up nice after roots show...and they dont like wet jiffy pucks, i mean like i just let em dry out a little, find its better...2 weeks minimum id say on average though.

dried bud is straight fuel smell and taste, better taste than pk or bubba IMO, or what is sold as pk or bubba round here.

growing plant reeks, slight cat piss or rotten smell, but my carbon needs replacing and let me tell ya my room smells dank, fuck so does my living room, and hallway... oh crap., lol

smells in veg if i squeeze stem... like kush, chemmy, fuel.

cutting seems to only purple easy if temps are low, summer grows green until last few days

as far as I know cutting isn't grown much anymore, my buddy has stopped 2-3 years ago switching to faster flowering strains and says it not around much.

anywho i gotta finish dinner, shits burning....

You've got yourself some OGxBubba right there brother. I grow both. The trim pics are a dead giveaway. Slightly leafy like bubba, stacked calyxes of Og. If it smells like pine-sol it's got OG in it. Looks fire for sure man, I'd love to get my hands on that girl. I can also tell the two because it's got the OG structure(alternating nodes, buds are spaced out) but the same clubbed head nugs like Bubba. Good job, well done.
