What size Smart Pots to fit 10 plants in 3x3 table?

I have 10 seedlings and would like to be able to fit them all on a 3x3 table. I want to sex them as early as I can, kill the males and then turn the remaining females into moms.

What size Smart pots should I use so I can fit 10 on a 3x3 table, but then also allow enough room to grow into moms? I'm hoping to take up to 10 clones off each mom in time for summer.

They will be under a 600w

Their website lists the size of the pots. 3 gallon are 10" and 5 gallon are 12". I think I would go with 9 of the 12".

Yeah go for the 5 gallon ones, after you pull your males you will have lots of room.


Ton's of guys are rocking ebb&flo with #3's and coco. Its the new hype in D town.

hopefully both of your drain and flood connections are on one side and NOT in the middle. If in the middle, you will need to use the smaller pots, because you lose 1-2 spaces for the big pots...trust me.
