Which strain should I use to cross w/ Bruce Banner?

Hey,
I am about to use the Bruce Banner #3 as a my mother in my breeding project (Which is Reservoir Strawberry Diesel x OG Kush). I can use either OGer99 or Mob Boss or Lifesaver as my male.
What sounds best? Im trying to keep yield diecent, but possibly making the banner even kushier or chemdogyer.. but increasing yield would be awesome..

I may be a bit bias but I think DGS has some of the best genetics Id go with the OGer99.

I could also use Sour Lifesaver, Sour Strawberry Kush, or Glass Slipper.. I have 10+ seeds of all of those.. I didnt mention them before because I dont expect any of those to have crazy yields.. But if it was pretty good and AMAZING it might be worth it.. And I just germed 10+ seeds each of OGer99, Lifesaver, and Mob boss.. So I could easily get multiple males off any of those strains.. again, im looking for something to complement and not cover up the strawberry taste that the Banner has, and possibly make it even more diesely. But bag appeal, yield, and high all are factors as well. Ive been waitin a long time to do this, and wanna do it right!

IMO you need to figure out if you want to actually do a breeding project, or just a chuck or two.
A true project is going to have a goal. Seems that you aren't real concerned about increasing the yield but would like it to happen, so just about anything that yields as well or better would serve as a donor.

Now, you are looking to make the line kushier or chemdogyer...is this in looks, taste, smell, type of buzz???

And do you want to grow a plant or two like this just to look at and enjoy, or are you wanting to produce seeds that will consistently give you plants such as you seek? Quite a big difference between the two in terms of what will be required.

Just got the banner 3 mom's im using for my Banner breeding project.. Im using BOG SSK (I have 2 males im flowering out) Connoisseur Chem Jones (1 stinky stinky male that I have already collected the pollen from).... Then in near future - Sour Lifesaver, Grandoggy Purps and possibly Chemdog

BabaKu- after taking advice from people like yourself, and doing some much needed reading on breeding. I am focusing specifically / overall on increasing or preserving the chemdog/kushyness, while changing and possibly enhancing the Banner.. The Banner x SSK should be a doozy, seeing as how they are very very very similar strains, with the exception of ssk having sour bubble in it..
So my thinking is- to preserve strawberry kush taste = banner x sour Strawberry kush
to enhance looks on banner = banner x Sour Lifesaver
to enhance looks and possibly create an outstanding hybrid = banner x Grandoggy Purps
back to my original goal, to preserve kushyness, i would wanna cross banner w/ chemdog. but i need a non hermie chemdog male.. we'll see what i can find..

I would try to reshuffle the deck, make S1's with her and see what you get. Why throw more hay on the stack?

I thought it was a little sketchy using a finished strain as something to do a project w/.... So this is what im going to do for my first breed-
-For the Banner, im going to cross it with BOG SSK because the 2 complement eachother so much (pending ok from BOG)

As for my breeding project, im using the Blue Diesel as my mom (which I obtained breeding rights for), and am figuring out different males/talking to the breeders I got my males from.. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=204679

I am also going to use a AMAZING bubba kush that I dont have to worry about breeding rights with as my main base strain for breeding, cause its pretty basic/ not too finished of a strain..

I would pollinate a bud or two with each male, grow those out and test the progeny. Then do a sibling cross of the progeny that most represents your goals. That'll give you lots of diversity to choose from. Or find a killer male from the first run and BX to the BB. Lotsa options either way

Hey daheadies , wondering what became of your cross ? I have been contemplating the exact same cross ! I love banner # 3 and the SSK seems like a very complimentary and also similar hybrid. I respect BOG a bunch and want to try some of his gear. I also am looking to cross my Banner # 3 with something close. However the Idea someone elseposed of making S1 s has crossed my mind.

Actually the best option to me would be nycd, this would keep it in the family so to speak. Banner #3 is rez strawberry diesel x og kush . Rez strawberry d is nycd x kk strawberry cough. I cant find nycd regular seeds anywhere right now. I f you got some please speak up, as I have many great tradeables.
