what makes you not want to run a air pump? I mean that pump is going to have to be pretty beefy. Sure you could save more power going with a smaller pump and and air stone. A 200 gph pump will be moving the water 5 times every hour. Just my :2cents:

Looks like he is going Heath style! I think CYAT and Heath are all pump no airstone.

The discussion is that the waterfall breaking the surface tension of the res / bucket is what adds disolved O2 and these guys believe that the waterfall is way more effective than an airstone.

The results these guys pull is really impressive.

What do you think guys?

Plans for a monster tree grow I wanna do next, these are just rough drawings so any input on performance enhancements or kiss reminders are greatly welcomed.

For this next mission I don't wanna use any air stones, just get a very high gph pump to circulate/aerate the solution.

Connect 2x14-20 gallon tubs via 4" pvc with the pump submerged and the feed line going thru the 4" pvc so I don't have to drill and extra holes in the 2 tubs.

Next I'll cut a 5 gallon bucket an inch or so after it reduces so it slides in a hole on the tub lid, then use a 10" net pot lid for the 5 gallon bucket.

I'm tryin to find a pond sort of fountain sprayer to aerate the res/plant site.

So yeah I'm bored and atoned as shit drawing up different options for this project,I figure 1 pump as the only thing to fail isn't bad huh?

I think its great.. Love the 4" pipe idea.. you should be able to get the 4" tank connectors from a pond suppliers... or ebay...
Keep us posted on progress..
Watch the spray isn't to forceful that it cuts into roots.. is my only suggestion yet.
good luck

Well I plan to use a pump that flows 1000 gph + so I think thats beefy enough,my current rdwc system uses a 633gph pump so overkill is my game.

Precisely,I've been reading the waterfall effect is more efficient at making do than a airpump/stone as the add heat to the equation.

Thanks for the link HS,that scwd looks pretty interesting. And I think I'm gonna look into either uniseals or threaded bulkheads because I'm still unsure of what containers I'm gonna use. There's a plumbing shop that has some sweet threaded bulkheads with npt threads on both sides and they have sizes from 1/2" to 6" and they're about the same price as uniseals and beefy and so far last.

Hay yall,well I had a hick up.

Found a little dark spot so I treatwd with H2o2 and the lvpk can't take it like the kush i grew last time could cuz it fried the roots and turned yellow but new roots are growing back so were back on track.

Gonna flip as soon as thee look healthy again probably in a few days or so.

H&G Root Excelerator $130 per L but very strong and has amazing results. Glad the ladies are bouncing back from all adversity.

We can only hope, that 1k cool deluxe sunmaster forces tight internodes and dense bushes.

So far since they have been in the system I've topped them twice and pinch and cropped em over once, right now theyr around 12-14" how much longer should i wait to flip to get some 4 footers?

You really dont need em 4 ft to get big yields. I would let em go 18"-20" tops and they will be really big when finished. You wanna make sure you dont get em to big and choke em out

Yeah I plan to flip as soon as I get some bloom nutes, might go back to AN micro/bloom@Lucas formula.

I just de foliated them tonight they should bush back up in a day or 2,and im only use base with big bud then overdrive and thats it. That may not exactly be basic but its way more basic than my last run.

Well been tinkering around and drew this up

I'm still tryin to refine my single tree set up,ive devised a way to shoot as much water as I wanted while keeping the roots safe, also I'm undecided as to what size containers would be prime.

Do i need more than 10-15gallon for root space?

Also what size pump would i need to get it to shoot out of 3 Tees like crazy?

Might be running frostitute and or Chemdog ibl flipping 2 1k ballast while having a 600w on uninterrupted in the middle.

What ya guys think?
