Eight Plants, Eight strains - Flowering my moms

So i haven't done a log in some time and sort stopped checking in on IC as much, I am hoping this will help me get back into the groove. I love this place.

For this grow I am only flowering 8 plants BUT they are 8 monsters. All past moms who had given many many clones. They are in a 4' x 4' tent with a 1000x Horti. I am attempting my first 'lights on at night' round and it seems to be going great. No light leaks and the temps are staying low. (I am not running CO2 this time.)

Anyway, I have pics from the veg and early days of this grow saved on another computer. I will get them today and back date this log. I didnt think that too many people would have a problem if we jumped right into the buds.

The strains are:
Fire OG (knock-off, still awesome)
BananaGum
C-99
Sour Diesiel (thx bro!)
Platinum OG
Madness
Star Dawg
SFV OG (also a knock-off but still very good)

Actually about 2 months ago i was very excited to (re)acquire the legit SFV cut but after dosing her with floramite she went into my mom tent and procedded to spread some supermites around. I have tried floromite twice, Safers 3 in 1 and axamaz in there with little luck. I defoliated the whole plants twice before the spraying but am still seeing the fuckers. Next will be SNS-217. Fuck mites and the horse they rode in on, so that SFV cut is gone.

Plants are all 2 weeks into flower now and there are still a few critters but my concern is really my mom tent at this point. Anyway, here's the pics. I will have some more coming later but there are at 2 weeks bloom.

Other things to note. This is my first time using smart pots. Loving them, using the 5 gals. And the horti trellis is new. Easier then staking everything. When the time comes I have those retracting hooks already on the ceiling to hold up the buds.

OK, back to IC with a new computer and a new grow! C ya's

Here they are back in Dec. This is the first day that the moms moved from under floro's to real lights. The moms are the big pots in the back. the little babies went to a friends grow.

Just thought i'd add this pic for reference.

Long Day today. Getting ready for the next round.

Saw one of the nicest medical gardens in San Diego today. Fellow ICer and one hell of a grower. Efficient, Productive, Awesome strains and a whole lot of true passion. Its nice to see a large op with the quality and care of a small grow. San Diego really does it right.

Anyway, the next run:

Nine Alien's, 15 Platinums, 1 LVPK a Sour Dog and a Black Dream.

So excited i almost want to get the current one wrapped up :clock watch:

Here's my moms. I think they are feeling a little left out, i didn't take one cutting.

Okay, well since we couldnt upload pics for a few days these pics are a bit old but you know what they say, "better later than... whatever."

Thanks John Bourne for hooking us up with the additional disk space to add some more bud porn. Truly appreciated. If i ever come across and BOMB pollen i will be sending some beans to the server fund for sure.

My days of growing more pot than i can consume myself hopefully will be winding done allowing me other time to try some other projects. I am specifically looking forward to growing some long flowering stativas and and some low yielding but more unique smoke. A member here recently gave me some nice haze that i have really enjoyed smoking so hopefully in a few months i will just he running like 4 monster stativas is 8 gallons smart pots in my 4' x 4' tent. Then of course i'd love to make some beans and donate them to IC. After growing a few out maybe i can circulate a new cut to 'the fam.'

Anyway, on to the pics. Sorry for the HPS glare. I will catch the next ones just before lights on. Thanks to all that are checking this out. Also i am going to go edit my first post and add a veg shot from day 1 under HID.

thanks yall. :ying:

This is not my best grow but its getting the job down. It nice to have a low plant count (8) its very stress free. Easy to water too.

Smart Pots have been great. Needing to water a little more often but those are easy because they are just PHed R/O. Still feeding only once a week, Saturdays. Not seeing any deficiencies.

Oh, i haven't seem my for spider mites in a while. I wiped down most of the leaves with hot soapy water and then hit them with azamax abt 2 weeks ago. The sprayed with SNS-217 which is essentially just rosemary oil. Total Safe product. I think doing these three things in a one week period. As well as watering so that there is extra run off to get the humidity up has really helped. I havent seen one alive in a week. No that they are not there but i dont think it will be much more of an issue. If it see them again i will spray the sns-217 up till 12 days before harvest. If it dont need to great.

See yeah, thanks for checking me out!

you water and add nutrients separately? So you feed them once every week? how exactly do you do that? Do you only give them like 8 ounces of water with a strong nutrient formula? about how many milliliters of nutrients do you use in that? Is that for flower only or did you do it that way in veg? Thanks for the info

No, i still do the old drench and dry. They just dry out more frequently. It usually ands up being a regular watering with nutes (R/o with Lucas, added cal-mag. then later in flowering adding koolbloom or some other enhancer, then some bud xl from H&G.) That would be the feeding. But its not super strong. regular dilution rates. I use abt 15 gals of water at a time. Maybe 10 actually.

Then since the smart pots dry out so fast i have to do another full drench and dry sometime around Wednesday. For that i use straight PH'd R/O.

It doesn't take long since there are only 8 pots.

Does that answer your question?

Thanks for swinging through!

so big buds get lots of water when they are being watered / fed, what do you do about the runoff, do you move the plants or let it all collect in the bottom of your tent?

I just soaked them pretty good and as you can see there isn't too much run off. I just let it evaporate. If there ever were excessive run off i would scoop it out with this plastic pitcher that i have and maybe mop up the rest with some paper towels.

Right now they just got watered and by Sat (...maybe Sunday) they will need it again. That time with nutes.

Here is a pic of the minimal run off

and since i was in there a quick budshot

Yo, what up boyz? thanks for swinging by Kannubis and Red. No chop for a while. I need to work on my patience. :clock watch: These ladies should go for 70 days. 63 would be the LEAST. The Sour Diesel in there needs 70 days anyway so taking anything before that just means that i will have a staggered harvest and 1, no where with a scrubber to dry my herbs without any light (only have my single 4' x 4' tent to flower/dry) and 2, i would have to wait unitil the Sour D was done anyway to clean and bleach everything as well as give some time with the tent empty and really concentrate on killing every single spidermite so therefore it would just be the SD chilling in there alone anyway. I like to have to proper Sour Diesel smoke for the head :joint:

The Star Dawg is a slow one as well. But she kills it coming around week 8. Amazing bud structure and huge calyxes. Easy trim job

I am not sure where i am at now. I think i started 12/12 on 1/17 so i am just over half way. 38 down and 32 left. I will probably do it in 4 weeks so let's call it 28 days. Buds are looking good, i hadn't checked on them in a few days but they are doing their thing. Looking forward to watching them swell up and get resonated. It always seems that growth is much more noticeable in weeks 3 - 5 but the real weight comes on 6-7-8. Hence why i need to develop my patience more.

only probably one more feeding or two, then pure R/O for a nice clean and deep flush.

I'll snap some more pics when the lights are out. I know I am killing you guys with the shitty HPS blaring.
