man i shed quite a few tears watching the news tonight
To our brothers and sisters in New Zealand our thoughts are with you
Plenty of help is already on its way from Australia, 300+ police and some 150+ search & rescue specialists are already on the ground there (including a team from Queensland who've just come from the flood recovery), and I understand teams from Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, England and the USA will also arrive within the next 36hrs

ANZAC SPIRIT ALWAYS PREVAILS

The rescue workers have got some serious kahunas ... fingers crossed there's no more aftershocks (there's already been more than 20 aftershocks at over 4.0 magnitude), or these guys will have no chance

Wow,,, I was just listening to the Commissioner of the NSW Fire Dept,, he clearly stated that ALL of the foreign emergency crews going to Christchurch have known each other for many many years,, apparently they have regular training exercises together. He named every country on the map posted above (thanks pheno) & went on to give details of the bond & unity they have from previously working together.
