Highend....we have such a strange relationship....and this plant is no exception.

Leans to Highend....why? how can you tell P?

A paragraph or so then...she has that Highend funk (I'd say Rene funk...but I have never had Rene...much to my dismay...as that is one clone I'd accept).....yes indeedy....she has the funk and this time maybe no berry...nuggets are tight, ample, and dense....covered in plenty of resin heads. No nanners...easy to grow...still feeding.

I'm hoping that I get straight funk out of her...If I don't get any berry or fuel that's fine. This Highend cross...well you'd have to read my "pet projects" thread to understand our relationship....but anyway she doesn't look too pollinated....and that has been our history (Highend and me) in the past....I have trouble getting the exact beans I want. I do not have anymore beans from this particular cross....whatever I get off her is our future. It's a long story.

I want a transition from aroma to flavor....if that happens...I'm $$$$$....a mouthful of funk. There is little doubt in my head that I'll find a potent high....but it must have that knock out funk...the kind that you feel all the way down your throat in thick coatings.

This phenotype also met a major goal: she was not slow in veg

...You are killing me.....that's a sativa I'd like to try. I just refuse to torture myself with plants that don't work well in my environment. Last year's Hazes and Highlands were important to my future and I'm glad I got them done (all the pollinations)....but I'm now on vacation. I love all that stuff....but I won't get suckered in again...a cultivator must know what's best for his sanity, health of the garden....etc...one must know one's limitations.

But dude....never think I'm not wanting to grow that stuff....

My next trip is SE Asia....sooner than later....extended stay...down that way...I'm tired of fucking around

Some plants just won't fucking die....I've had sativa plants like that...starve them for weeks...and they keep drinking and staying green. After a while you're like....come on already. No sir...I will not be going anywhere close to 100daze flower....no where near 80daze if I can help it (and I can)....but I'll be damned...I just smoked 1/2 of one of those bones....shiiiiiiiittttttt...gets ya mighty high up there....shits been curing for months and months...I'm twisted.

***note: in all the crosses I used the Grape Krush males (a mutant and a nonmutant) in.....no mutations in the offspring. That I find strange. My Flo mom always produced mutants in her offspring...about 1/2 would be mutants(regardless the cross).....Blue Moonshine also throws mutants in their offspring...and again...from using BMS from the female side in outcrosses....but these Grape Krush males...not one mutant and I've grown out many of their offspring.......you would think I'd see crinkles

I won't outcross the Cleveland Sage (obviously...way different stages) to The Crunge this round....nope....just going for a scouting run (just like my current Crunge runs are scopes)...but that's what this is all about...

I need to cross The Crunge to Cleveland Sage to free myself further from the parent plants....free from other grower's concepts...free from their visions....I need this to push me into the deep end of the pool...to sink or survive through my own expression creations.

....but not to be unrealistic....

I've set up some very favorable plant expressions into these two crosses....they have common Grape Krush dads.....they have Prune Juice from the male and female sides.....Abusive OG Kush....Querkle....Kali Mist....ChemDKush....Grape Krush....SSH....Sour Bubble...that's all in there....swimming around...waiting for the right swells..

All the moms and pops could stand up on their own.....I did not use anything weak....1/2 ass...or disconnected. I loved every plant I used....high vibrational expressions....

...this is where I'm heading in 2011/2012. The Cleveland Crunge will be my 1st attempt at expressing myself through the plants I create.

Im tagging along now brother, being of particular intrest is the grape krush hybrids being crossed together from both genders the krush mother hbrid crossed to the krush father hybrid.thinking about it you should have a wide variety of krush leaning phenos.

The Grape Krush males....in my albums I'm sure...but a fine non mutant and a fine mutant were used.

Grape Krush is a new age Blueberry from my view point. Nothing wrong with that.....you know I'm a fan of DJ Short....but mostly not about the complex highs....though those are nice...I'm more interested in the ornamental aspects, the mutations, and the dripping resin machines....that mutant Short plants have the ability of being.

I'm looking for more of a hash plant....but one I have yet to see....thick...strong upright branching...all the colors...50-65 day....I'll know the structure when I see it...but I'm close with the Crunge structure wise...lots of little things I'm looking for...

As far as highs...I have my own ideas and taste....same with flavor...I'm not looking for mellow buzz here. I want orbit marijuana... in your face orbit. I want to go away on little mind trips....and straight know I'm on one.

I want some Punk Rock weed....I'm basing my soundtrack off that

Yup all the GK comes from the male side....I'm using them to help me with structure,color and a common denominator....that's what I think I'm seeing in this Crunge plant I'm posting....setting up like a Short plant...hard to say...but she's familiar...kind of kushy...for sure a hybrid. Fun stuff

Nice one Fisted....like the color change. I ran cold rooms last winter to see what colors I could get...but killed myself on extended finish Xs and yield. My ChemDD mom only changed color with colder temps...maybe a little flux in K helped as well. I like colors....ain't seeing so many this winter. I'm running my room maybe a tad hot...maybe not.

Blind Willy Haze= Wonder Haze X ELEBX1 x ChemDBX2 IX1

....this is a plant that started out of the gate fast....started filling flowers at a quick rate. But right around her early 40's she stopped putting on girth.

That's not to say that her flowers are light or fluffy air. Nah...super hard flowers...I could club somebody with them...also notice she has nothing supporting her branches..no nanners or any sort of problems this far along...



Seeded flower...lots of beans....crossed to ChemDDIX1

I expected lemon scented flowers....but no....curve ball there....more a musky, rotten....nothing over the top....or under either...just a overall musky waft. I can't tell if I like it or not.

The male I used came out of beans selected for ChemD dominants by ICer Dr Poison. So Poison incrossed beans he got from anna c using ChemD phenotypes. If I'm recalling correctly....but anyway I bought them as F2s. I've made some nice hybrids using the same male....I have another hybrid in veg I call "Candy Loving".....and that's my ChemDD queen "Deliah" X the same male....getting mileage out of them....

moms I've used with the ELEBX1 X ChemDBX2 IX1 male (this is mostly a memory exercise):

1. Incrossed 2 ELEBX1 X ChemDBX2 IX1 (so made the IX2 or BC2...whatever)

2. Williams Wonder IX1= Blind Willy

3. Wonder Haze= Blind Willy Haze

4. Casey Jones= Fat Belly Poi

I had a nice long hilly run....complete with Border Patrol encounters...(Hey America be afraid!....the enemy is within)...nothing like setting off sensors and having the Border Army get excited with a hunt....but just an awesome run all the same....and it gives those dudes something to do....I will be so bold as to say....they enjoy it.

They're always cool and a bit dismayed when the realize it's some smelly long hair cretin running around in socks and short shorts..."like what's going on man?" I say...."You see anyone down there?" they question....to which I say "Nah man just me." I must set off many sensors on that run....they act like it's a major invasion....they were waiting for me high and low...armed and ready.

Yeah dude....there is method to the madness I think. I really do try and visualize the fabled rabbit... follow him down the holes...from one briar patch to the next....collecting what is shown to me and only what I need. I have no doubt in what I'm doing right now.

I had to spend some more alone time with her...so I took a few pix...from here on....she is continually "crow picked" of her leaves and about to go into full Phosphorus blasting....as much light as I can penetrate into her flowers. (by wearing polarized sunglasses...you can really see where the shade hides and remedy the situation)....



So I've seen this plant before structure wise/affect....she is a replica of the Bogbubble mom I used to make BrickHouse. I probably had that phenotype of Bogbubble in my garden for at least 2yrs...she was used in several crosses of that era.

In the BrickHouse cross I found two different phenotypes....one a complete resin bomb that was insane to look at and pretty stoney but lacked flavor and the other more BG like and less the resin machine but better tasting and a chill high.

I used one of the bland tasting "resin bombs" females as a foundation for making Orange BrickHouse....thinking that I was pretty happy with most their attributes minus the bland flavor...and that it would be a good test for seeing if the Calizahr males could make something out of nothing.

Since I am looking for Orange Bubblegum (like Hubba Bubba Orange)....seeing the Bogbubble mom is a positive sign. I'd also be happy finding Grapefruit or Sour Apple Bubblegum....something sweet and citrus or sweet and sour....I'd consider a success. Be assured....this cross is about finding flavor...then if needed...I can work on the rest.

Another game I find myself playing....is making some of my creations more rare than others. In this case I pollinated only a smaller bottom branch with Ma Kettle= Casey Jones X Grape Krush...thereby making fewer beans....automatically I have upped the value of those beans being presently made...depending of course...if the cross turns out to be worth a shit....a retarded game I promise you.

***Tomorrow is a pollination day. I'll be expanding my "I-HOP Pool" by using I-HOP Grape Krush=Straw Dog F2 X Grape Krush pollen on:

1. Mikado....the monster/sativa leaning female...winning points with me...just digging on her...

3. ChemDDIX1...I already used ChemDDIX1 pollen on an I-HOP GK female....so now I'm getting it from the other side by making this move....and I have a wonderful female for the cause.

Yuppers....I see every good sign in expanding the I-HOP pool. At this stage I am more interested in outcrossing the I-HOP plants than I am incrossing them....in particular the I-HOP GKs.

Again and again.....I must reinforce....a total confidence in vegetative selections. Flowering is aftermath.... the proofing....my selections are made in veg. The pollinations are lined up for individual plants...80% of the time in veg....20% are bonus, whimsical,...or desperation pollinations.

If you can not select your "Shiners" in veg and are small time hobby folk....you will be wasting a lot of time, $$$$$, and space. I acknowledged my faith....the day I gave up keeping cuts.

I base most all my selections on gut feeling....beyond what I have planned or what I see....if the plants are not willful toward my overall vision....I kill them....and keep killing them...until I find the ones that I feel kinship with....it's not difficult....but you must be open to that sort of thing....you must have the will.

Day 47 of flower....cut the girdle in this stormy day...she seems to me to be a 10 day flusher....so somewhere around 60daze she will most likely be getting the chop.

The girdle...harvest ritual....cutting into her....communicating it is the late autumn of her life. Is she so desperate even with a slight pollination? My observation of partially pollinated plants has been...yes. They are just as desperate to collect more pollen....as if they had collected no pollen at all. The beauty of their deaths is an orchestrated dance/ritual...their death expressions our art.



***I've been smoking bones...this morning while I garden....of well cured Faye Dunaway (ChemDD X Cindy Jones)...the smoke...leaves an after aroma in the air of oily skunk. You know how a real skunk (animal) has that musky oil thick in their fresh spray?....it is similar to that...but not as fragrant (thankfully)...none in the flavor however...a much tamer metallic....the flowers are greasy....they leave slippery oil on my fingers.

The high is one of retardation. As a wake and bake....in the garden...it took me the better part of 1/2 hr to get my shit in gear. I did a lot of staring at flowering plants and deep reflection...with twinges of paranoia. After that the high became very heady, functional, a dreamy creative head.

I've also run on this stuff....a favorable review there as well...some herbs high don't come out strong under physical exertion....not Faye....you know you are high for the first 2 or 3 miles...after that I've found no herb that can dominate endorphins without further ingestion of the herb. I like to use cannabis to carry me into the endorphins....but it is absolutely a preference....not necessary. I just like getting super stoned before I run....another ritual.
