ease of care sometimes outwieghs all else, dont need to comb it, can cut it myself and can hop out of bed and walla, no bed head,

Yeah what he said. Besides, most women prefer a manly man that is not all concerned with his hair. Just build a strong body and not worry about hair, cosmetics or jewelry. That's for the girls.

when I was a teen, the hair went passed my belt.
Now days it's a #2 every 2 weeks or so. Saves on shampoo, having to wait for the hair to dry on cold days, not having to worry if every hair is in place when I go out, etc.
Can't do the bald route though. With my luck the grandkids would probably draw crap on it while I would be taking a nap.

I had beautiful curly hair when I was younger, then it began falling out at an alarming rate. I decided that bald on top was OK and I could simply go with the bald guy pony tail, kind of like Larry in Dharma and Greg. The problem was as soon as I let it grow out, instead of an old hippie with a pony tail I looked more like Bozo the clown.

So with tears in my eyes I went to a 1/16 inch shave on my entire head, beard included (I still don't know why bald guys need a beard but I guess we do.) and I find that indeed the more hair I loose the more head I get.

there's some great answers in this thread.

LOL Nokuy: I think I might have one more high and tight in me. But I have doubts that my head will get much grooming in the way of brushing or combing after the next cut.

My slowly receding hairline is why I try to keep it long-ish. My hair gets curly as it grows out and I get a pretty sweet jewfro. It covers up what it needs to cover and does't look too bad.

I started to buzz to the wood many, many years ago. I've gone thru 3 sets of electric trimmers since - but haven't paid someone to cut my hair in forever. My one son loves his summer hair buzzing, the other not so much...

I mostly do my own - easy to do, or sometimes Mrs. Classy will trim it for me if she's feelin' bored. 5 minutes, and I'm as smooth as a babies butt.

No combs, bedhead, shampoo - 2 minutes in shower, towel, and done.

I also get alot more smiles from young ladies - they seem to dig an older guy with a smooth noggin.

i dont like having long hair its makes the head feel hot and gets in the way. i keep my hurrrr short, easy maintenance, dont have hair hugging my ears, and if i get into a street fight the enemy cant pull my hair and use it for leverage lol.....my girl did say she likes it when my hairs longer but some girls like the short hair...as long as its not flattop buzzcut looking like timmy mcveigh your good. just keep it short all around and your good....

I have enough hair on the rest of my body:clover:

I've had long hair (for a guy) a few times and its nice, girls say they like it that way but its a pain in the ass... And if you are half way good looking it looks good any way you keep it.

Don't know if its the reason but I can tell you that for guys suffering hair loss its very common because it makes it harder to tell.

Ever watch tosh.0? He always had long hair, then he started thinning and now he's got the buzzcut. Very common.

Man, a lot of responses, and all from guys. Do women ever post on the Women's Forum?

Good reasons posted here, I guess. My wife tells me she'll kick my ass if I ever come home w/ a crew cut. Maybe I should get it shaved except for the little tilted cap-piece military/cop look - I could give Officer Friendly the high-five and a brotherly nod as I drive past w/ my transplant seedlings in the back of the truck.

Im not sure why no women have posted in this thread, I dont have any preference on hair length on men just so its clean and well kept. I guess I like short hair a little more but as long as you keep it clean its all good.
My hubby has had his hair both ways, buzzed and grown out, they both look good :)
