I'd be interested in knowing this as well. Got a felony for dealing/cultivation a while back as well. Quit sellin' and still growin'.

Homeland security has been sharing this border protecting technology with all of our allies since 9/11 to protect and keep track of terrorist. It is amazing how it is getting abused (i.e. Canada turning away tourist with the smallest of criminal records). I would expect more countries will be turning American dollars away as time passes. The information age has helped and hurt us with the same blow.

when i went for 4/20/2007 i had 2 felony charges/1 misdemeanor but charges were eventually dropped to a disorderly conduct. but, if you pull any background check on me you can see the original charges (felonies)....there really isn't much of a to-do when going to A'dam from the states....i went in 07 so obviously had to deal with the bullshit of taking your shoes off and what not, but have not dealt with the TSA on the level they are now, so i can't say..

i doubt you'll be denied entry...you land, get your luggage and bounce....hardest problem i had there was getting around, as an American, with no help/no travel partners/20 years old...

they might obey a no-fly list or something but i doubt they'll go digging in your past to deny your entry, immigrations would catch that if anything and as long as you have your passport and don't have anything on you to get 'caught', you'll slide right on through

on the same note, if things work out financially for me this summer and around september/october, i'll be going to the cup as well - my second and final trip to amsterdam for a good while more than likely, unless i become really successful and then i'll go every year lol

gotta figure $1000-1200 for the plane ticket, right now for the cup its like $900-1000 ish, i'm sure if you're getting it 30 or 60 days beforehand i could see it go up a couple hundred...past that the hotel i'm probably going to grab is the Greenhouse Effect, mainly because it's in the RLD, allows you to blaze inside, free breakfast, it's own bar/coffeeshop, etc. they even have apartments you can rent...depending on who goes with me, we might rent out an apartment from them...they're 130/170 euro's a night though...their smaller rooms are 100-120e/night ish and the 1 person rooms are like 75e a night....i liked it, you'll do a lot of walking so bring WARM clothes, it's fuckin' cold there. i went in april and under armor/hoody barely cut it...then the judge's passes (if you get one) are $200/275 depending when you buy, cost of food, cost of intoxicants....a NICE trip over there can easily cost 1 person 2-2.5k. with 2 people it's not as bad, and if you get a self-catering apartment you could technically buy food and cook, but you're on vacation....eating out is quicker and much more fun.

odd story to tell....

i'm sure you guys have heard of the coffeeshop directory at some point, right?

http://www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/

i actually, through my lonely stoner adventures met up with 5-15 people (different times) from Virtual Dam Forums, some were pretty cool ass old heads in their 50s and 60s who go there every year or other year, met some people you'd never expect...doctors from the midwest, strangers from norway - quite an experience...but during these meets i (somehow) met the owner of that website (Lemming i guess he goes by) - a british man, met him and his wife and we ended up walking like 20 minutes to this Thai part of town, had NO fucking idea where I was...

...imagine it...20 years old, passport on you, high as fuck, alone, defenseless if robbed (aside from fighting)...2,000+ miles away from home meeting complete strangers under the influence of drugs...LOL...scary at times, especially walking home at 4 am, pitch black on some shady ass brick road....like some scene out of Hostel, no doubt.

anyway, we get to this restaurant and nobody speaks english. real cultural place, all decked out Thai-style and the british guy I met had to get us a seat, he ordered this big plate of noodles and i just ordered the same thing. ate like 1/3rd of it and was full. very odd, cool experinece just meeting some random stoners from a different country, different generation and just rollin' out with them.

it'll be close to 4 years (possible Nov. 2011 trip) when i return to amsterdam, and if i can recommend a few things to you or ANYONE who goes...

- PLAN AHEAD. I cannot stress this enough. I'm not talking booking your hotel and shit, get maps, DETAILED maps, the site i listed above has one you can use, but if you can find more detailed ones be sure to get those and UTILIZE THEM! it's difficult to find all the coffeshops without.

- Be prepared to force yourself to a 6-8 hour sleep timeframe. Being so stoned you'll lose track of time and end up sleeping your vacation away if you're not used to the quality and are blazing hash and various crazy strains all day. Set your alarm. Have a day to day plan so that when you are there, you are not wasting any time. If you're going to the cup, probably best to get there 1-2 days before, hit 5, 10, 15 coffeeshops as many as you can and continue to do so throughout the cup. Just organize and have a plan - i learned the hard way.

- Ignore the street-level drug dealers. You will probably be approached or whispered to offering 'charlie', or any other word slang for coke. They try to get your attention so they can lure you and either take your money and give you fake shit or rob you. I was by myself, white american walking down pitch black alley ways with like 5 nigerian's following me at times. I had to almost fuck one dude up though, i got paranoid and just stopped in my tracks turned around and screamed at this mother fucker and he just backed up and walked away.

- Go look at the women in the RLD....fucking HOT last time I was there...stay away from the blue lights!! LMAO

you can go i know this for a fact. all of us(our clique) have felonies and have been. we know of others who have felonies that routinely go as well but, you aren't getting in any country with some crazy ass shit on your record. i think the new legislature being proposed may play a part in who's allowed in going forward.

krunch, contact the Netherlands embassy or consulate nearest you. be 100% honest as they'll have the truth in front of them within moments, have your passport in hand before you apply for any travel permits if needed because they'll ask for that info too.

best of luck

I think its only Canada and the States that care about stuff like this. I dont think most European countries are that bothered, as long as your arent a wanted international terrorist, oh, err sorry, no, even if you are a wanted international terrorist in some cases.

I think you'll be ok. The Cloggies love everyone, they are the very best of Europeans, along with the Danes and the Norges, oh, and the Spaniards, the list go's on.

Gotta love Holland though.

I think Stoner4Lifes advice is good, would be a shame to get to the airport and sent back. Id love to go to the states one day, but that is exactly what would happen to me.

Stoner gives good advice, but unless your felony was real serious & you served jail time, i couldnt see the Dutch Authorities turning you away tbh, but checking with your embassy is a great idea. problem solved then, i think you'll be just fine!-I luv Holland & the Dutch are lovely, very clever people, ive lived over there &*really miss the place.

I want to move to Cali, but i have served a parole sentence(drug offences) in the UK(4 years or over) & this prevents me tourist access/visa's to the USA, Hawaii & Australia-(i had to sign before release) Exemption for 20 years- i have 7 left to go before this is recinded/spent, but even then there is no guarantee access would be granted. I have been considering going as an illegal & gettting alternative ID once i had been there a while, preferably get the ID sorted before going, i know its doable, its always whom you know, not what!
If anybody can help me move over to Calif or just give info & advice, then please get in touch, ive wanted this for a long time, id luv to get into the Care-Giver scene & have alot to contribute, hehe! would be my dream move this one!
Mexico is not a problem, not that far away!

Problems with access to various countries comes from the UK when people have served 'Parole' Prison sentences(PS), a Parole Sentence is 4years+ & you have 'Home Office Parole' sentences too which is 7+years, the HOP(home office parole) has to be signed by the 'Secretary of State' to get you out at parole time, first parole is usually refused on HOP sentences.
If you have served prison terms of under 4 years then you shouldnt have any problems gaining access to any country worldwide i believe(UK residents). unless your a sex case/wrong un, they 'should' get a perminante ban worldwide regardless!-(but they dont) Thats British & EU law for ya, a joke, always will be"!
Basically, your card is marked if you have served a parole sentence! & it aint spent for 20 years concerning entering other countries! PS's are never spent when it comes to CRB checks btw, its there forever on that!-(CRB-Criminal Records Bureau)

When i was paroled from prison & signed the Visa Exemption forms, it only had 3 countries on it, USA, Hawaii & Austraila, Cannada wasnt on the form, i was suprised to see Hawaii, thought it was part of the states at the time!

I think you wont have any issues at all getting into Holland Krunch, av a good cup mate, hopefully catch ya there¬) Best of Luck!

It hasn't stopped any of the real criminals from coming over... Don't think your cannabis charge will be the most of their worries.

Never heard about something like that..

I don't think NL or any european country would kick you out
and not allow you to come and visit our beautiful continent
(and spend many dollars) only cause you been busted for growing or selling pot in USA..

Except if you have International Police looking after you,
come and have fun, Europe is waiting for you..:dance013:

I live in France, here many "criminals" come and go through borders without many problems,
(until they're busted) dealing drugs, weapons, animals, even human body parts, lol..

Well, check Dutch embassy if you're not sure but I guess it will be ok..

I think thats no problem, and defantly with a canna felony you are welcome.

I think the other way around is much worse, And the reason why i havent been back in the US, scared they keep me at the border.
