CO2 generator and monitor/controller recommendations

I'm in the process of building my new room. its gonna be 11" x 7'6" sealed room , 8- 600w bulbs hanging vertically with co2 and an ac to keep it cool. What size and brand of co2 generator should I get. I also need a co2 monitor / controller. There's alot of choices out there it's kinda overwhelming. What kind are you guys using and why?

thanks

depends on the size of your AC. if you can counter the heat put off by a burner, go with that. in my case, our upstairs 4kw room has bottled co2, because the room is small and the AC is weak. in the garage, we have a natural gas burner attached to our house line, with a larger AC to cover the heat. generators are much more efficient and cheaper, but you have to deal with the extra heat. controllers, we use chhc4's, connected to my computer for 24/7 monitoring of the rooms, but honestly, once they are dialed, i dont look at it anymore, so a cheaper option is probably sufficient

I would advise a tank setup, the heat from the burner will be huge. Air conditioning/dehumidifier is still mandatory, but a CHHC4 and a GreenAir solenoid/regulator mix is a good bet.

tanks are a good source of co2 but contant trips to refill them suck. i like propane generator but propane produces a shitload of excess humidity. im setting up my co2 as we speak im going with the cap fuzzlogic monitor and a 36 propane burner from greenair

It all depends I've used a few different kinds, right now i have the plug n grow but lost my ac adaptor and been trying to get ahold of the company for weeks with out a call back.... so dont recommend them lol
I got co2 tank now but i've used a burner before its nice because you dont have to sketch if your in an non medical marijuana place they sell propane everywhere.
but i like the tank better no flame and cools your room.... also if propane is leaked and you dont notice will kill all your plants!!!!!! so thats a big factor to take... put the tank outside the room if anything.

A certain online/ebay vendor is selling CHHC1 units for five Benjis plus shipping.
The newer CHHC4 is the same except it has: green LED display, easily detachable probe, AC outlet covers.

I've decided against supplementing CO2 (for now, at least) but I'm about to pull the trigger on the Sentinel CHH1. I have A/C, dehumidifier, and a space heater. I want to know what my CO2 levels are if I have minimal air exchange with the outdoors.

I think they have cheaper solutions for around 200 that tells you around where your co2 levels are but not as accurate as some more expensive models.
If you gonna do co2 have a seal room you dont need outside air to produce the dankest cannabis in the world.

8 - 600watt bulbs are going to produce a lot of heat in that room CO2 or not...
get the best & biggest AC you can afford (mini-split is ideal).

I just started running the C.A.P Gen-1e LP (4 burners) and the C.A.P PPM4 monitor. The package cost me less than $500 (from BGH). My room is 12Lx8Wx7H. I am running 4 600watt bulbs vertically and bare (I am not using the whole room yet). I have an edgestar portable dual-hose AC (14K BTU).
My temps peak at around 82F. Outside temps are in the 30s. I am not sure how my room will react in the summer.

1st RULE in every grow... get your HVAC and electric sorted before anything else. An AC is the heart of a sealed room.

yeah its gonna be at least a 20,000 btu AC. how much heat do the generators produce, i just like the idea that i can pick up a tank at homedepot and I already have 3 of them. but they are more expensive than a bottle and regulator and if they produce a lot of heat i might as well get the bottle> i need to price out some tanks i guess

Propane is way cheaper than bottled CO2 in the long run. The heat generated by a CO2 burner is dependent on how long and how often it needs to run. The better the room is sealed, the less CO2 will be lost. I have two Sentinel 2 burners (2 different rooms) and I don't find the burners add any appreciable heat, not with all the 600w bulbs in there. They do seem to add to the humidity, so a dehuey is required, and those things can kick out some heat. Frigidaire 50 & 70 pint models have received good reviews for pulling out water but not throwing too much heat.

How are you hooking your chhc4 up to a pc? Rs port or something else?

If it's the rs port, my chhc1 should be capable, right?

You've got my attention haha

your AC should dehumidify the room during lights on.
run the dehumidifier on lights off if you can. it will add heat for a more consistent temp when your lights are off (especially with so many 600s in such a small space).
you don't have to run CO2 or an AC during lights off.
also... you can program the CO2 generator to kick in about 1 hour after lights on. the plants will use the CO2 they released during the night for the first 60 min (if the room is sealed).
there are ways to manipulate your environment and make it more efficient.

are you sure the 20K BTU AC is enough?

a 4 burner liquid propane CO2 generator will add about 12,000BTU per hour.

There is a primitive beta program unofficially available, I got the link from a thread at THC******.com

You'll need a null modem cable.
(CHHC1 and 4 are identical inside as far as I know.)

i have the same size room. sealed, 12000btu ac, 65 pint dehuey, 3200w of lighting. i use a cppm-1 and a vcg-6 two burner generator. both from sentinel. i can not say enough good things about this combo. it only runs for a minute. the heat it generates doesnt even raise the room temp 1 degree. it simply doesnt have to burn that long. 20lb propane tanks last me months @ 1500ppm.
