Here's my Chem D @ day 53 of flower. Grown in a 3-gallon container with LOTS and LOTS of perlite under a 600watt Halide. Responded very well to organics, especially guano teas.

Let me know what you think:

Thanks man! Planning on cutting between day 65 and 72. I like most of my stuff just a few days past prime, so we'll see when that happens, and I'll follow up harvest shots :)

looks super amazing and very healthy.

Beautiful....whats the yield like?

Thanks guys!

Yield is above average, or at least the buds are pretty chunky on a plant with 8 heads, not sure what the plant in the above photos will yield, but I'll follow up when I harvest!

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

damn that chem looks real similar to my kush, with the swollen poddy calyxs and calyx to leaf ratio...man wish i could see and smell her up close!

surprised you get such good results with a MH.....you never run HPS? maybe i should swap out one of my 600 bulbs with a MH, one side runs HPS the other MH see what happens!

I ran a 600HPS before I switched the MH, the MH out performed it.

Thanks for the kind words man! The smell is crazy, I'll probably cut her in 2 weeks and I'll post some pics!

Nice work ! I always enjoy watching your grows. Been wondering what Rez's CD IBL looked like and now I know .

You still using Bio Bizz for your fert regimen ? :tiphat:

Thanks man, I appreciate the kind words!

I do still use Bio-Bizz nutrients, but primarily as supplements. In VEG I depend heavily on Fish-Mix, an awesome nutrient product, and I always use a lot of Alg-A-Mic (in teas and for foliar) and Bio-Heaven; Bio-Heaven is probably my favorite Bio-Bizz product, coupled with guano in a tea bubbled about 24 hours. . . forgetaboutit - honestly the difference is noticeable.

I use Bio-Grow to provide a snack for plants around day 16-24 of flower, they really pack on the weight when I couple the Bio-Grow with bubbled high P bat guano and Bio-Heaven, Bio-Grow is a molasses based product full of complex sugar and beet juice . . . keeps 'em very green.

I use more guano now that I've found the right soil mix, as I used to think I had to match the guano to the medium, I had it all wrong.

Guano is far more effective in soil mixes that are SUPER airy and have lot of perlite, so my mix is 50%+ perlite and the plants respond to guano teas like never before, fattening up like plants in a hydro setup. Honestly my mix is so airy I water WAY more often, and plants depend on my watering for more nutrition, so I can hit 'em harder and more often with guano without ill-effect, and the results have been noticeable. For every ounce I yielded in my old soil mixes, which were great, I yield 1.5 ounces now. 1.5:1.

Damn, missed the halide part first time. What kind of bulb your using?

I've done some side by side grows using my AK-47 & Sour D as the gold standard and the 600 watt SunPulse Digital Halide (3K for Flower) does outproduce my Horti EYE HPS. I've found that yield is slightly better, but density and maturation time are both markedly improved, I also get solid/mature buds about 3" further down the main colas with a MH in my SCROG setup that when I run an HPS.

The main reason I started looking for an alternative to my HPS was that I noticed that only the top 8-10" of my plants were top-shelf, fat, grade A nuggage, and I thought I could do better in terms of yield. To some extent I also noticed my plants had to much space at the internodes after the flip, and after months of experimenting with different lamps in side/by/side comparative grows, I've found the Sun Pulse lamps that keep 'em shorter and get 'em fatter, and honestly I've never been happier, and believe me I don't get paid to say this, Sun Pulse has no idea who I am, lol - I'm just speaking from experience.

The Sun Pulse lamps are designed specially for use in E-Ballasts, and are called "Pulse start" Halide lamps, they come is several "flavors" for various uses, but I've found that lumen maintenance is outstanding, and Ive never seen tighter buds or shorter internodes with another lamp. At the very least if you're running an electronic ballast give Sun Pulse a try, I can all but guarantee you, you'll be re-thinking the HPS is for flower slogan.
