AmeriSkunk... WHAT? What are you talking about? For different reasons other than Purple Monster. I break 1GPW in a dense perpetual SOG using cfls. In any case, AmeriSkunk... WHAT? First you harp on cfls for producing poorly dense nug (that's a knock on quality). Then when backed into a corner your new argument is.. "Well... you just can't produce enough therefore HPS = better". WHAT are you talking about?

Did the OP mention how many watts he was running? Looks like 9 x 23 watt soft whites? You should clear 4+ oz fairly easily, not the "less than 1 oz of poorly dense bud" Ameriskunk is going on about.

Now I must weigh in on this whole cfl/lack of density/sub 1g/w issue. I have been running a Dr Bud sog for almost a year now and if i werent lazy and kept the sog ticking like a clock i would easily bust 1.5g/w. I average 7g dry per cut at 75% of the cabs potential density with fungus gnats and mag issues. 7g/cut is 1.03g/w in my system. With the biggest cut to date coming in at 14 dry, 1.5/w is very feasible. The nugs that come out of this cab are trichome laden, very sticky/stinky and DENSE. When you drop them on a metal tray it sounds like felt covered marbles. I'm talking a pronounced "PONK." Most importantly, when you smoke them, they get ya higher than giraffe pussy. Kaya can attest to these #'s and quality. I actually pissed him off when my cfl nugs were as dense or denser than his grown under HPS. When used correctly, cfl's make some killer nugs. You're not gonna grow trees or pull big single crop/plant yields due to our old friend, the inverse square law, but if you are willing to have alot of lil plants instead of a few big ones, a cfl sog can be very productive. I could pull 35g dry/week if I just got disciplined about taking and potting cuts every week. That's with 7 x42w cfls in a 2.7ft cab......Just my $.02, take what ya like and leave the rest.

yaaa....wat he said ^ hehe sup bud. i cant believe this thread turned into a darn debate lol...hell i cuda gotten these responses on rollitup lol zzzzzzz.

Im not posting this to receive any kind of direction when it comes to lighting, etc....this cab was made to fit my individual needs and still be able to fit all comfy like in my duplex. I like hearin bout what you all have to say, but when it turns into the same ramblin debate it gets kinda bleh to me.

Not bad for a first run. They look yummy my man. K.I.S.S. should stomp out that lil issue. Have you cut all em yet? Still waiting on LA Woman?

Havent cut any yet, gonna cut Cali on tuesday...that'll be itz 8 week marker woot. LA will be cut the following tuesday woop woop!!!

thnx bud :dance013:actually my yield may not be too woopy...i got some pretty bad fungas gnats that me and my bud r thinkin caused the crazy deficiencies i had. But ya, they got a bit stunted in bud size from that...but as u can tell theyre some troopers hahaaaaa!!!!!!!

oooo i almost forgot. I was scopin the cali last night...and i swear the trichs look almost clear and theyre at the 8 week mark......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm *scratching head* the test nugz ive taken thus far have been good (quick dried of course), hitz me pretty hard but fades away kinda quick. Hope all goes well...

Cali takes 9 1/2 weeks to get good and amber in my system bro. Did you get a new lens?
