Well, I've never heard of "Cut Branch" But I plan to have a few males at once... I will pick my best males from each strain and before they release pollen I'll cut the males place them in vase full of water separate from the room and wait for the pollen to release. After I've gathered my pollen I'll take the mother I intend to use and pollinate a single branch by using a small brush and spreading it on the desired branch lightly.

So I think what ya'll are driving at in this whether a plant with the same genotype can exhibit a different phenotype based soley on environmental factors eg indoor/outdoor growing. The answer is you bet they can! The cannabis plant and many plants for that matter have genes that are activated or deactivated by temp, stress etc... so the genotype stays the same but the phenotype can be really quite different depending on the environment. So if you are breeding for an outdoor strain it would be best to grow the p1's and progeny outdoors in order to select the best performing specimens for your breeding project.
