In soil less, a range from 6.3 to 6.8 is cool. 7+ may grow thick leaves and malformations. You may even see premature yellowing.

But you look good for the most part. Keep up the good work.

So I got bored and took some pics today, the cab is really starting to smell now

I think I can see some pistils starting to form on #1, but then again maybe i'm just getting my hopes up, but we shall see.

I transplanted #3 into that 64oz container because one day I pulled the 18oz cup out of the styrofoam to water it, and saw a huge ass root hanging out of one of the drain holes!

Yeah I know, I topped all the others except for #4 so I can have something to compare to the others, instead of tying #4 down with paperclips like ive been doing the others, i crush the stem every now and then

So I checked the cab a few minutes ago and decided to take a closer look at everybody, so far I believe that #1 and #2 are female and #3 and #4 are DEFINATELY male.

i've never seen a male show signs of sex in person but i've looked at all the pics I can and they're growing nuts lol.

I figure 2 out of 7 isnt bad, considering the age of these seeds and that I started 6 seeds together, 5 sprouted and I added 2 more that sprouted on the 23/24th

I guess I can have sort of a staggered harvest (if any of the other 2 seedlings are female)

I'm going to leave 3 and 4 in there a lil bit longer then yank em

Thanks for the support everybody!

Im thinking that when I pull the 2 males out I will transplant the females into larger containers since there will be ALOT of extra space in the cabinet, and then maybe kick it up to a 1/2 strength dose of big bloom :dance013:

today is day 37, day 12 of 12/12

I transplanted the females into larger containers and gave them another dose of nutes today

Thanks! Taking a look at the pics on the 1st page I kinda went
eh2.gif
, but now its finally starting to come together.

Also I forgot to ask in the earlier post, is a 15 degree temperature difference between highest and lowest temps too much?

For example, 67 degrees was the lowest, 82 was the highest (lights on obviously)

It is a little much, but I have had worst and still things were ok. I think it would depend on your environment. You should be ok from the looks of it.

I love it when a person uses what they got...(mayo jug), but no more Microsoft advertising okay?

Dude,
Things are looking so much better. Your soil has a good amount of perlite and the seedlings are looking great.
I dont think that temp swing is anything major.
Keep the lights as close as possible to keep the stretch in check.
Congrats on dialing in your grow.

Once again thanks everybody!

After I came home yesterday and saw how close the un-topped male (#5) got to the lights it gave me an idea of how close I can keep everybody without burning them, so I got them dictionaries from the very 1st few pics on the 1st page and stacked em up to give the ladies a lil booster seat so they can get closer to the lights.

Now I just gotta figure out a way to transport the males out of here (which I will probably do this afternoon)

Lookin much better AP. One thing I notice is the light dissipation. Seems like you have the CFLs scattered in no order with plants under "dark" spots. Maybe this is why they stretched pretty bad. Also seems like not enough light for decent budding.

If you can't add more light maybe you can try to get some order to your CFL layout. Get them lined up and get the plants under the light grouping for maximum efficacy and irradiance. Maybe use a power strip with the outlets all on the same side and space the CFLs with a half inch or an inch gap in between them. Other than what seems to be weak light penetration, your grow looks great!

I moved #1 (white container in the pic) directly under the lights on the right now that the males are out so now the whole plant gets light

I was thinking about doing some supercropping on #2 because its getting really bushy and since I don't want to move the lights away from the seedlings, it kinda sounds like a good idea to me so far idk
