2 x 600W digitals - Safety?

Should two digital 600 watters be of any real concern? (wiring, electrical)

If so, how would one be able to tell if they were properly set up to handle them safely?

I realize that this hypothetical setup is relatively mild compared to some out there, but I'm just curious and don't know much about how wiring and electricity works.

"2.5," you say... How would you expect to get that with 2 x 600? Say, for example, in a make believe 2' x 7' closet...with things like BOG's SLS, Bogglegum, Bogbubble, and LSD for example... (all soil)

Should basic home wiring handle that without breaking a sweat?
To be more specific, in this dream scenario, there are only 2 outlets inside the closet, and if it were mine, I'd like keep everything contained inside the closet. Would that be feasible and safe?

1200w/120v is 10amps

80% of 15amps (typical household circuit) can be used, so 12 amps.

You can def run 2 600's on a standard 120v circuit, but this leaves very little room for anything else to be run on that circuit

now if you have a 15amp 240v circuit it goes like this

600w/240 = 2.5amps

you could run about 5 600's on a 240v cir, it would be a little bit over the 80% but it should be ok.


Whodi, 2.5P from 1200W, thats a haul. Best I get from my 600 is 1P maybe a little over.

i run two 600s off a 240v 15amp circuit and i run my fans/dehuey off a seperate 120v circuit....if you are talking about a standard bedroom that is the most i would load on those circuits. 12oo watt is ok to run without any major upgrades.

wish i could get 2.5lbs off dual 600s lol. my next crop i should hit close to 2lbs but im running OG kush low yeilder...

lol I made that same mistake this run, too much OG. I FIM'd, LST'd and veg'd for months and yield still looks below average. hard to tell tho because OG buds are small but super dense. Im puffin a bowl now, the taste makes it al worth it in the end.

got 21oz from a 600 bare bulb, jack herer in the verti forum, now we've stepped it up to 2x600 and added some sours and chems so i'll be starting a new thread on that one, but its gonna bust 2.5lbs...

in a 2x7 closet you wont be able to run bare bulb, marlos arena is 2.8x6 and he runs 2x400 bare for an example...

i hope the closet has a high ceiling that'll give you more air volume and more upward potential !!

I use welding goggles but MyGreenToe made a shade with a 5 gallon bucket. It is about half way down the page.

There is a member named the The Herbalizor that uses 2 600s inna aprox 5x5 area and pulls some serious yields.....2.5-4 lbs. He got his shit dialed in and runs a variety of strains. Check out his thread in the Uk Forum for info or just do a search for some of his threads....theres a few of them. If anything it will give u a cpl ideas of how u can apply it to your work area. Good vibez.

I'm running 2x600 plus 8 four foot t5's plus 6" vortex, 2 osc fans, couple pumps on a 15 amp 120 circuit. As long as the wife doesn't try to use the vacuum cleaner, it's good.

if you run a dedicated 220 line for your lamps then you wont ever have to wory about overloading your circuit with the peripherals
