Update: 01/10/11

I went away for the weekend and I came home to a nice healthy plant

I took the time to trim out most of the remaining underbrush. the plant is starting to stretch , if it gets to bad Ill top each cola as needed.

I took a bad close up of one cola, maybe you can see the start of white hairs.

Don't worry about the stretching, just manipulate the branches to fill the entire screen.
It there are too much branches just cramp them together and pluck a few leaves around that space to allow air circulation.
You got a lot of screen to fill

If you'r going to remove the undergrowth make sure to remove any new nodes that won't reach above the screen - they will only produce tiny popcorn buds.


Plant looks healthy as could be, great work!

Update: 01/14/11

So buds have started to form

I ended up buying some Hydroplex 0-10-6 Bloom Maximizer to replace my Liquid KoolBloom. I found the crystals of something in the bottle so I figure its old. I might buy the pure blend origional to see if it will help push the plant. In the picture of the full canapy you can see alot of the new growth comming threw in the middle. that is the last branchs to hit the grill, anything below them were trimmed during the last 2 weeks.

so last night i pinched the buds and then sprayed with foilar spray when the lights went out. but this morning when i got home for lunch i found the buds were browning like mold. do you think its mold or just the stress of being piched?

i sprayed some mildew repellant just in case but i am worried lol.....

Why would you pinch the buds????

It could be mold as it's generally not good idea to spray the buds directly even at your stage of growth.

Shoot a pic up and it would be easier to tell

When you pinch a bud you compress it.
Compressed buds have little to no air circulation which easily leads to mold.
But it shouldn't happen overnight.

Update: 01/25/11

So time for another real update, the buds have gotten much larger. I started with the molasses now, but the pics wont show that since I just watered.

I smoked a tiny popcorn but and it went straight to my head lol... I'm excited

Check your temps \ humidity - you pistils shouldn't brown up yet.

that's from me pinching it, that one is taller then the others since i didn't originally pinch it with the others.

my temps are around 70 and humidity is normally around 30

Update 01/30/11

Another update, the buds are really starting to fill out, and more crystals are forming daily

After watching this plant grow, I figure I could have let it veg for almost another month if the pot is on the ground, once I install the smaller side lights I can get better harvests....

Update: 02/07/11

so Its hopefully around the last 3 weeks of flowering, I have started using the Koolbloom dry as a bud ripen-er. The buds have gotten so nice and dense, I wont be expecting much from this harvest since it was a learning curve with the new cab but it still looks like a fun smoke

The hairs have started to turn brown, the taller buds have around 50-60% browning hairs near the tops but the tricomes are still all clear.

Its hard to get good picks since I'm not a small guy and the cab's canopy is cramped to take pics but alot of the buds in the back are more dense, have more tricomes, and are larger, but I cant get a good pic without man handling the buds.

Here's the formula I am feeding the plant, it drinks just under 1/2-1L a day or 1/8-1/4 gal. This means that if I allow the plant to veg longer the water consumption wont be much more then 1-2L a day.

• Pure Blend Pro Soil Bloom
• Hydroplex Bloom
• Liquid Karma
• koolbloom dry
• molasses

Don't add too much "bud rippening" ferts that soon.
They need to pump up first, and they have a lot of it to still do.

In your setup I would remove all the fan leaves above the screen. If you keep them your lower buds will be just a bit of leaves.

The bag of koolbloom dry says to use it during the last 3 weeks so that's what I'm going by, I don't know if thats too soon for the strain or what lol.

I trimmed up some of the fan leaves to help with budding.

I ran out of weed on Tuesday, so tonight i trimmed some popcorn, microwaved it and now I'm going to smoke it. I know its blasphemy to microwave but its popcorn bud and its a life or death situation lmao

I threw two fem ww seeds in jiffy pucks tonight, by the time they are big the other plant should be done and I'll just have to re-veg the seedlings once they take over the cab.
