What's new

More Snow Bring it on those that whine are pansies!

More Snow! Bring it on! Those that whine about it are pansies! We have 20 or so inches on the ground, the snow piles by the walks are 5 feet tall. I had to knock them back to make room for more. Now they are saying we could get 2 feet between 2 storms, one the day after the other. And maybe another Saturday! Bring it on! Those that whine about it, do the rest of us a favor and move to a climate that has no snow, and let the rest of us enjoy it! At times, I feel like I am on the verge of leaving this reality and setting sail for another, about to find out what's on "the other side". Still, I welcome the snow. As odd as it seems, I still love it, and when I shovel it I feel better, more alive and like I have a chance of beating whatever is effecting me. You would think it would finish me off, but I go out there with the attitude that I will die with my head hung high and with honor, and instead the pain melts away and I feel alive again. I love snow!

If it's going to be like they say it is you may very well leave this reality and find what's on the other side... :D

My driveway is 4.75miles of gravel, we have an accumulation of 55" at the moment. There's nothing like having a 4x4 SRT8 with a plow :tiphat:

Depends on where the snow is falling for me. Midwest/East Coast USA= all yours brotha. They have that bitter, sharp-ass cold where your face literally hurts just being outside. It's not a matter of toughness, it's just not an enjoyable disposition. Every time you walk outside and try to experience the world for a few minutes, you've got to put your zillion layers on- and it's still do damn cold. If you can do the intellectual circles required to convince yourself that you enjoy it, well man, hats off to you.

Now Colorado "cold" is different...

jealous. haven't seen snow in like 3 years

Yeah man, I don't think I could live anywhere that doesn't get a decent amount of snow. Normal here is somewhere in the 50's (not sure exactly but between 50-60 inches). We got off to a slow start with no snow until Dec 26, and then nothing else until about January 8, but now it's lights out and we are up to 53 here but Boston has 60 as does a city closer to me. I don't think I can have too much snow, I like it when we get 80+, our record was 130. So I feel for you. I would love California in some ways, but couldn't take the lack of snow although I could be a mountain man, they get crazy amounts of snow I hear.

HAHAHA :D ;) yeah it could be but at least I will go out happy! I am feeling better I think, and I think the spasm-like pains are due to having trouble filling a med I need, but that is about to be corrected.

yikes! I thought I was doing good with like a 1000 foot steep drive! :D Good thing we got a big new truck with a plow! 55 inches! I envy you! Although the way things are going we may have that much on the ground in a weeks time!

never experienced Colorado cold, east coast cold here. It gets below zero just a few times a winter here, but has gotten as low as -15 here, maybe lower. This year, -6 was the lowest so far. I like it around zero, I bundle up and look at the stars, and if I am shoveling I hardly notice it, makes you feel alive.

too bad it costs so much to live there.

According to the weather channel you are about to get your wish! Some cat from Chicago just got through with the 'ole batten the hatches speech. If it pans out as expected it could be the most snowfall Chicago has seen since 1967. Last they said it could affect 100,000,000 Americans.

sounds like a big storm. I for one am glad that I live below the Mason Dixon line
