we pulled out of the poppy war and invaded the sauds?
'bout time
unless you mean the war in afg. you know where we spend the majority of our time and resources killing farmers livelihoods whacking the tops off of flowers?
that is not a just war on those who attacked us...
Perfectly valid objection. I wish we had been more forceful with the Saudis, however, we weren't and we did invade the country which was actively harboring the group that did attack us. As much as I hate our policy of destroying fields of poppies we have to combat Al-Qaeda's revenue stream. I think the way in which we do it is childish and ineffective but it is the method by which hundreds of thousands of troops can be continuously active. I think it would be more effective to target the poppy buyers and tracing the path by which the money follows. It would probably yield many bank accounts in accessible areas worth billions. However, I do fully support sending our troops to the tribal regions fighting Taliban fighters and foreign fighters. We are actually fighting the fight the right way for the most part with our covert actions in Pakistan and Somalia. It is a glimpse of the future which America has to look forward to, an Israeli future.
