say what yu will, but this is not a good thing for the community. say what you want to justify it i think this is only a set back. just becuase it's what you were doing at that age doesn't make it ok imo. if i could go back i would have focused more on school and work than getting high and drawing trippy shit. maybe that's why it makes me so mad is becuase i see myself in this kid, and i don't like it.

Kids will be kids, I even had a bong very similar to that when I was in 8th grade. Only difference I wasnt doing it on youtube. but lets get real here for a second, it would be much more disturbing to watch the kid rip a line of oxy atleast he picked something relatively harmless. My only recommendation is not to do it on the net, once you sell your soul to the internet gods its very hard to get it back.

Only difference between him at his age and me is he had no pussy smoking with him and I did, chickenheads would dig when homies had weed at that age and if you were in check with the goods and had all the right gear on you were pimpin & staying at home with a few chicks smoking and making steak-ums sandwiches while your madre & padre were working.

Okay, I am a 40+ cranky, bitter, curmudgeon and I had no problem with this kid. I should admit that I only watched the first 3-4 minutes of the video. I don't waste my time watching/listening to things that do not entertain me or educate me in some way and he did neither in that regard and generally speaking I have NO tolerance at all for males between the ages of 12 and 25.

That being said, the kid seemed intelligent (aside from the whole making a video and putting it on the internet but then we live in a different world than 30 years ago; when I was his age) and somewhat mature for his age (although I am reticent to use the word mature in context with a male under the age of 35).

Maybe I missed some major jackassery that he started in on at the 4:01 mark but it seemed like he was not about to make a video that involves him getting hit in the crotch so he is already ahead of the curve of most males his age.

I was smoking at his age, I don't see anything about the kid that makes me say "This isn't a good thing for our community!"

About the original post, It doesn't make me mad. Like the others are saying, I was smoking at that age too! However, making a video for the world to see me breaking the law was not high on my list of priorities.

i think you need to lighten up, this kid is just showing off his 'creativity' with his art and homemade bong. he could be a spokesperson for the community if he had actual evidence of intelligence or his role in the community. imagine if he was on the deans list or if in a few years a got accepted to harvard.

Mixed feelings. I don't condone it but at the same time I admit I was smoking even younger than him. He's probably 14.

I'll also admit probably the best fun or most useful pot ever was for me was when I was so young. It sucked being under someone elses watch like a prisoner all the time. I used to love scraping together 5 bucks and sneaking out of the house to the park to meet up with a couple friends. Buy a shitty dime bag full of sticks and seeds and smoke out out of a can in some bush. Ride back home all wobbly. Same thing with school. I loved my little stoner clique. We were always up to stupid adventures and many of them are funny stories to this day.

On the other hand the fact of the matter is that is a terrible image for the community. And unfortunately since so many people stop smoking as they get older due to drug tests, etc. The regular folks think its an immature thing to do. Something for kids. There are lots of responsible adult pot users but when people think about pot they are most likely to assume kids just like this. A 15 year old with a bad attitude into the hip hop wiz khalifa thing.

Not a good look for us. But... neither were hippies, surfers, metal heads, or grunge. And that was the previous 4 decades pop culture. So I guess it doesn't matter. Pot is more accepted and used now than ever before.

JP you and I disagree often but I support you 100% there. In fact its a good idea to remember when you are arguing with people on the internet why not to do it. It could very well be this kid and how silly would you feel as an adult arguing with this kid?

Good reason to stay on IC too. Almost all the other major pot forums are catered to exactly that group. Kids.

As a last thought I just want to say I think many of us at one point were that kid. Its nothing new so don't get all upset. Go back 15 years, change the music to sublime, add cargo shorts and pukka beads. I might've thought it was a home video.

Roswell third graders caught smoking pot at school

ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) - Authorities in Roswell say two third-graders at Berrendo Elementary School have been caught by their principal smoking marijuana in a bathroom after school hours.

When a responding sheriff's deputy asked one of the boys how many times he had smoked pot, the boy replied he has "hit it hard a lot."

Chaves County Sheriff's Lt. Britt Snyder told the Roswell Daily Record deputies have responded to calls about drugs in elementary schools before.

But Snyder says the Jan. 10 incident marked the first time he's ever heard of third-graders using drugs.

According to police reports, principal Kathleen Gallaway doesn't want to press charges and will punish the children "administratively through the school."

The sheriff's office contacted the Children, Youth and Families Department and determined the case to be closed.

The only thing that frustrates me is the ten minutes I lost watching this. I was expecting the kid to do something wrong at some point (like read off a list of kids he's gonna shoot). Some of you act like this kid is going to put the pot movement back ten years single-handed, your giving him too much credit. When I was his age the most technology we had was being able to set the VCR to record MTV all day while I was at school, and watch it all night. I can't even imagine what trouble I might have caused with access to the internet.

Yeah he is a little young to be smoking, but everyone I know that smokes weed started at around age 15, some even as young as 10, but none of them are messed up now because of it. We are all in our 20's now, and doing fine. Except for me, I'm crazy as fuck. But that was a pre-weed condition.
