Can't sleep, no not at all.......

OK, this is just driving me bonkers every night.
There are a couple of issues to blame and even though I'm working on getting those straightened out my sleep comes in snatches of 30-60 minutes at best.......


So to kill time I surf net, play free poker, watch TV & movies; anything I can do at home for free yet keeping me close to bed in case I feel like napping.


Screw this! I'm sitting here (@3:44am btw) sucking down chamomile tea just hoping. Now I've got Plan B in mind, it's a 98 mile ride round trip to the nearest Perkins restaurant by me & so I'm headed there now.


Anyway!!! as I've digressed from the point here I'd like to beg your attention still and ask if you have any sleep remedies; this can be anything from counting sheep to drinking warm milk or even a bedtime story which you'll have to read to me so be careful if you suggest it.

HELP ME!!!!

Not for everyone but it's one way :)

Take Melatonin....2 Mcg sublingually administered approximately 30 minutes before bedtime.

Then call me in the am. ;)

Sorry bro, I haven't slept a full night in over 2 years.

Smoke some good weed and watch long boring black and white movies sometimes puts me out.

I flipped a plant tonight cause I was bored.
I was gonna wait another 2 weeks. She is a pretty plant, I topped her and tied her 4 main limbs out 45* from one another. Then I seriously DF'd her... Every formed leaf.
Then stuck her under 300w cfl, she came back with dozens of new little branches and bud sites stacked every 1/4".
I can't wait to see what she does.

Hey Stoner I'm assuming your not doing any caffeine.
Do you have a lot of things on your mind that need sorted though?
When you do get to sleep how long is it for?
Gotta ask u don't nap doing the day do you?
If you only sleep for a hour to an hour and a half at a time you might have sleep apnea.
The best thing I ever did for myself was taking care of that problem.
I don't like sleep aids but every now and then I take a benadryl, it puts my dick in the dirt.

My guess is you are worrying to much with those issues.
In other hand if you still manage to get along with your life with less sleeping hours don´t bother that much. Just use that extra time in a positive way instead of the opposite ;)
If the situation demands stronger measures go for a strong extraction or edible a couple of hours before bed time. Does wonders to me...it evens knock me out when i don´t want to.

I agree, Melatonin is pretty amazing.

I take a combination Melatonin/L-theanine blend which works like a charm.

If that doesn't work you may consider talking to your doctor.


I hope you get the rest you need, I know how frustrating it can be to not sleep.

Wear that body out, make it start begging for a nap, and running for the bed at night.

Find your natural rhythm, myself, I go to bed when I'm tired, and get up when I feel like it, no set times for anything.
After a while my body found a natural pattern.
asleep by 10-11pm, and up at 6-6:30am
No alarm clocks or anything, Just a natural rhythm of falling asleep and waking up.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with insomnia. In the past and in similar cases, the only thing that would knock me down for good 8 hours straight was 25mg of Seroquel. This is the smallest dose (some folks take up to 600 mg) and truly does the trick. Very similar to Cannabis in some aspects, red eyes, cotton mouth and munchies.

In any case, please seek medical help if it continues. Lack of sleep will mess up your nervous system and eventually leads to psychotic episodes, anxiety and depression.

with my 2 kids who the f sleeps, I get maybe 4hrs a night, al for the last 6 yrs.
Once in awhile, a day here or there, I tag a 2hr nap...maybe.
The grow and family takes up 80% of my life.

I say F it, get used to it, go to sleep when your tired,
get up when you wake.
screw schedules...

i believe Yortboy had a great idea with the Valerian Tea.... however it sounds like you might need 2 cups and a bong hit:)....

Ooooh, I forgot that one. Yep, that works for me too. Except swap out the kleenex for a nice fuzzy towel. :) If I'm gonna go the distance....I need to go all the way! No kleenex for big loads. :tiphat:

P.S.-Valerian tea would do it also. I'd throw in some passiflora tea or extract if possible. It's a hypnotic....and a relaxant.

I feel for you man, since I lost my job almost two months ago and had to stop smoking to look for a new one I no longer sleep either and I think I am going insane. Melatonin does help me get to sleep but without weed I have nightmares and can't get back to sleep. Last night Santa Clause was trying to kill me so I got about 45 minutes. I just want to eat a shotgun.

Shotguns are terrible for sleep remedies, you oversleep for way too long nearly every time. ;)

I must be lucky, all I have to do to fall asleep is lay on the couch and turn on the "boring box"...the TV.
So effective, it works even when I don't want it too.

My guess? You either didn't get what you wanted for Christmas.....or while taking pictures with Santa years back....he inserted his white gloved finger into your naughty box.....then he laughed like his belly was a bowl full of jelly.

thanks guys, I think I'll try the valerian tea and melatonin tabs as I know I'm not getting the quality sleep that naturally produces melatonin. I can get both today @ the drug store.

yes and the wheat germ can be gott'in @ any grocery...
the CHia Seeds U will have to go to a NATURAL store........

both work VERY will in the sleep process
and do specific thing to the body that will promote sleep....
on a metaphysical level...not a chemical level......

hope U find the sleep....just get Alice and bugger up i the bed w/ the entire LOTR triliolgy..............
