Want to help me get the most out of this Applejack that seems to hate life?

Please everyone, join in and let me know what you think! I have had this plant for almost a year now. It is Applejack from a local dispensary. Spindly, I was told by someone here, due to Jack Herer influences. The smoke is fantastic and if I could dial it in, I might be able to get more out of it.

SOIL:

How long has this problem been going on?
8 Months

What STRAIN are you growing?
Applejack

What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)
Clone.

What is the age of your plants?
Probably over a year.

How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now?
Organics soil, 50% perlite. No other amendments.

Were they in the same mixture when they were seedlings/smaller plant? If not, what mixture were they in before?
Same mixture.

How Tall are the plants?
1.75 ft.

What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?
The particular ones in the photos are in flower.

What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc)
Natural. Strain autotops.

What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot)
7.5liter

What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)
Root Organics + half perlite.

What brand Nutrient's are you using?
BC Recipe For Success. Inthe last few months I have backed off to a fraction of half the dosage on the bottle. I have tried mag/cal supps, backing off on mag/cal, also backing off to nothing on ferts altogether for a little while, but the plant reacted badly as well, showing signs of severe deficiency after only 3 weeks.

How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
BC Recipe for Success, per guidelines. Says 3tspns, normally I use half (1.5tspn) when I feed. With this Applejack, I have backed off to one half of one teaspoon when I feed, along with Bioweed.

How often are you feeding?
Every third watering.

If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients?
4 weeks prior to picture.

What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect)
Unsure how to answer this..

What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?
Not tested.

What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?
6.7

How often are you testing pH/ppm/EC/TDS?
Every watering

What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?
Pen.

How often are you watering?
As needed. Average of every 3 - 4 days

When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?
Three weeks prior to picture.

What size bulb are you using?
1000w HPS

How old is your bulbs?
4 mo.

What is the distance to the canopy?
2.25 ft.

What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)
40%

What is the canopy temperature?
68 - 70

What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range)
40/50 - 65/70

What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
2x tent volume per minute.

Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ?
Always running.

Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
No.

Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
Moist.

Is your water HARD or SOFT?
7.6

What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled?
Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?
Well.

If using tap water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS of the water right out of the tap?(Only if you have a tds pen)
Tapwater.

If using RO,Distilled, mineral water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS without any additives?(Only if you have a tds pen)
50ppm

Are you using water from a water softener?
No.

Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
Cloned.

Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Neem, 3 weeks ago.

Are plant's infected with pest's?
No; or at extremely low population.

The dispy ownersaid this plant hadcrled like that since he got it as a clone. It is tempermental at best, overreacts to ferts, overreacts to deficiency and generally hates life.

Any ideas?

Since you have a pH pen a nd seem to know the runoff pH, why don't you know the pH of your nutes before you water?
Runoff seems a bit high to me. A lights out pic would help too.

pH wack burn and cold temps.
way to cold at 70 day and 50 nights.
day = 78
nights = 68
some stress going on
you should always pH your water to 6.4 with a ppm of 550 - 750 max

Ths was all happening long before temps dropped for winter. It was doing this, somewhat WORSE, whe temps were 75avg.

Wait, that plant has been in the same soil/pot for a year? It's rootbound for sure, you can't feed a rootbound plant properly.

It's cold, plus your runoff pH is high. Feeding every 3 or 4 days? Are you getting runoff each time? I ask that because it would seem with those low temps, your soil is staying very moist and not getting a chance to dry out. Are those pots sitting flat on the floor, or do you have them up a bit?

Negative. This particular plant went from 3 Liters after clonig into a ten gallon pot. By no means do suspect it is rootbound.

Again, this issue started BEFORE the cold set in. PH has never been a problem, and if it's just this plant I'll be surprised 6.5 is the general PH, standard, anyway, right? I don't think I'm far off from that number to warrant this kind of problem.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Ok in that case it looks like a simple N deficiency. Best way to fix this without risking overfeeding is earthworm castings. Put about a half inch layer on top of the soil and water/feed as usual. That should green it up in about a week. Look at the new growth to see what color it is. If it's still light it's probably a high PH issue, Fe and N need to be around 6.0 for best uptake range.

So dig up he plant in flowering, fuck with the roots, and put it into worm castings? Hm.

If it was an N def. it my hav been fixed when I experimented with different scales of fert. Even quarter strength N ca burn this poor plant!

No he is saying to put the casting on top of your existing soil, maybe scratch it in a bit, and water it. The castings are not strong enough to burn the plant

I dunno. My temps at night are 60 in the winter and 74 tops during the day and I don't see any problems. I'm not saying you're wrong. I know you know your shit.

I totally agree on the PH. This is a PH issue. I use to use Roots soil myself but I HATE fungus gnats. Went back to Promix.

OP- You can also supplement with Silica to help with stress after you correct your PH issue.

As per temp issues, I run a heater in the room but I can't afford the stuff to make the temps any better. Cannais can stand colder temps at night, but I agree that it is a problem. It's just a problem that I am unable to fix this instant.

Sidestory: I gave a clone of this one to a new grower, and he killed it within a week. It's a tough plant to work with in general!

So it's PH that this plant is susceptable to (along with everything else)? Hm. So if I was to set my PH better, what would the perfect measurement be?

For stress, silica? I've always used B vitamins an cold pressed kelp.

And thanks for the compliment, by the way. :)
