My first grow/jounal (MK-Ultra!)

I put 4 per 2 gallon pot..Yield is around 10-15 grams per plant..I do the same to the bubba kush and deadhead og.. Zero veg..Turns out to be around 3lbs per 2k..70 days turnaround..With Lucas formula even my clones just jump right into the buckets with 1300ppm(.7).. Amazing what plants can take with good roots..

^I'm pretty impressed how much the strain can take in general... Even a few that only dropped 2-3 taproots from the cloner took nutrients in and eventually rooted fully in the soil. Very resilient genetics I guess!

1/15/11 Update

Sooooo glad to have put in the 1kw. So much more density to the buds after only a few days!

After taking a look at the trichs through a 15x loupe, I've realized that there's plenty of time left for these ladies. All clear headed trichs so far. Not a whole lot left to do but show you all the progress!

Tried taking a few shots through the loupe, here are the 2 best... I'm going to keep messing with this concept to see what kind of images I can get from that. I like these, but they don't portray the trichs too well:

My Sweet Deep Grapefruit is starting to fill out, still no resin to be seen though. It does have a pleasant fruity smell though:

1/17/11 Update
I'm loving the way these are bulking up, puts a huge grin on my face whenever I'm around them! Just snapped a few pictures to show how frosty they've become and how they've filled out.

Sweet Deep Grapefruit, filling out quickly, starting to produce some resin. I really like the smell, citrusy with almost a melon smell to it. Looking forward to puffing this one!

Day 47

Due to the Gravity, I've burnt the tops of a few (3-4) colas. They're just fine other than the crispiness up top. I clipped the top of one and put it into a pipe as a sample... All things considered, even the burnt part is still potent. Taste isn't there (as expected) but I still am confident this will be a good smoke!

I started the flush today. Fed the big one water+floranectar. After burning this girl, I don't feel like feeding again would be the right choice.

Looking Dank Kaoss!

I think it was prolly in your best interest to just start the flush now if you had already burnt the tops abit with the gravity. Really cant give anything else but straight gravity and water when you use that stuff, I did what you did and burnt a tip or two the first time I tried it. Should be a great first harvest for you my friend. Enjoy the fruits of your labor!

1/22/11

N. Kron - starting flush was a great idea. Due to carpeted floors in the flower room I hadn't really given any of the flowers a proper flush. Figured out a solution; putting the potted plants into the sink! Can't believe they got this far without leeching the salts from the soil... I think by flushing weekly or bi-weekly next run I can substantially increase the yield. Thanks for the word!

Anyway, I learned the hard way that my Super Silver Haze was defenseless against PM, and while the MK Ultra laughed the stuff off, SSH had no chance. I took a few clones from the top and sprayed them with aspirin. Hoping they'll have a better chance. As for the "mother" SSH, its been thrown away.

On the bright side, my BOGBubble has started to really bounce back!

Hey everyone, just a quick update:
I'm hoping to chop sometime this coming week, but I'll probably let them go another few days for good measure. Final flush is proving to be beneficial to all of the girls!
I chopped a few sample nugs from the sides of the big girl and I'm going to let them dry out overnight.
Anyway, on to the good part:

Hey everyone! The MK is in jars curing and has been there since the 7th. Starting to lose the vegetable-esque smell and taking on more of a tangy aroma that I can't really describe, can't wait to smoke this herb and neither can my patients!
When all is said and done I'll report back with the smoke report!

MK Ultra Smoke Report at 16 days of curing:

When a nugget of this herb is ground up, it immediately releases that MK funk. Hard to describe, but definitely a very pleasant scent.

First hit is smooth, expands in the lungs but isn't harsh. Leaves your nostrils tingling when exhaled through the nose. The taste is almost exactly like it's delicious scent and the sweet flavor lingers on the tip of the tongue after a few puffs.. Unlike a lot of herb I've been puffing lately, the trippy cerebral MK high sets in almost immediately after the first exhale. (If you didn't know what this strain is named after Here's a link for a bit of info. VERY appropriate name.) Shortly after consuming a light muscle relaxation kicks in making this a great medicinal strain. Although my yield wasn't too big, I'm really happy with the quality. The first round was a great learning experience, and the next will be better!

Just a quick update. I'll be leaving for a week before the next one comes up. Anyway, these MKs are looking wonderful. I definitely feel like I have a better grip on what I'm doing this time around, and it's going to show in the yield!

I grew MK a little over 2 years ago and had 2 clearly different phenos. One was full of very light green nugs that were golf-ball sized and sticky as hell. The yield was weak, but the quality was top notch. The other pheno had beer bottle sized nugs and yielded more than double the other, but wasnt quite as good smoke. Still real good though. I flowered both for 65-70 days. The smaller one probably could have went a little longer.

Does your MK resemble either of these.

Thanks for rollin' through Chamez! The yield isn't too great without ample veg time, but it is truly a great smoke. I cut my first batch at 56 days and it's got a trippy indica effect that makes it an excellent night time choice. I'm going to let a few go longer this next time to do a comparison in effect. This particular cut definitely gets the golf ball thing going.
