I was thinking about leaving outside a bunch of prunnings etc.

I was wondering is there anything I could use to perhaps speed decomposition but mainly hide any unpleasent scents?

Any ideas? Thanks in advance :tiphat:

Grind it up, eat it, then crap it out. Now it will smell like poop.

That got me rolling haps thanks. Talk about an unpleasant smell... a bundle of peat moss spread on top will help with the composting just be sure to keep moist...the trim I mean..er...

buy or make yourself a worm farm, using red wiggler worms. they'll quickly compost any organic matter and you'll get the benefit of worm castings

mix it up with some grass clippings. the nitrogen in the clippings will get rid of the vedge matter in a few weeks.

Thanks for your responses guys - I haven't noticed a bad smell really, it is moist, aerated and not grinded up so I'll probely shred it and add some clippings etc...

Thanks!

shallow grave in the woods. deny deny deny...

and for the plant matter, they dont smell more than a few minutes if mixed into the compost pile. They break down fairly quick on their own. I would be far more worried about a pile of BRIGHT GREEN leaves sticking out than the odor. .
